Corinna's POV
After what happened, it was hard to believe that the Alpha would treat me so kindly. I thought he was angry with me, and I genuinely feared that I would end up in the dungeon. However, he was surprisingly gentle instead. For a long time, I had longed for his tender touch, and being in his embrace calmed me like nothing else.
I thought that was the end, but I was wrong again. The Alpha began talking to me, and the way he explained the significance of our wolf only made me fall deeper in love with him. When I asked him a question, his smile and the patience with which he answered made my stomach flutter.
It was heartwarming to be with him in that way. That he promised he would help me connect with my wolf gave me hope. I hoped that meant I could stay with him for a long time
