Corinna nodded and then lowered her head. She appeared to be a scared, worn she-wolf, uncertain of what was about to happen. Even though I continued to be somewhat harsh with her, my wolf urged me to soften my demeanour. I stepped closer and wrapped her in my embrace. Her body trembled slightly, and I wasn’t sure if it was due to fear or if she was cold. I gently rested her head on my shoulder and held her close to help her calm down. It took some time, but eventually she did begin to relax. I was the only one hugging her; she didn’t dare return the gesture.
