“You simple-minded wolf, do you seek to take her from me?” His shoulders shook as he tried to hold in his laughter. “That’s too rich. You seek to take what’s mine?” He looked at Eli his eyes flickering to their true scarlet red, the dark pupils slitting like that of a cat’s.
“Sam.” Abby’s breath hitched in her throat as her heart started to slam against her ribs.
