Third person POV:
In the mundane world, as soon as the moon rises, the children are off to bed with their bedtime stories. Some are part of a family tradition.
Stories about paranormal beings are being told, scary stories to scare little kids to be careful at night, and to sleep on their bedtime. Some believed and some did not. Mostly their stories are focused on vampires. A few believe and others do not.
“Don’t stay out at night, or the vampires will bite. The night is their day, and those who do not believe will pay.” the mother spoke to his son after telling the story about a Vampire king.
“Mom, are vampires really real?” The kid asked with wondering, curious eyes.
“That is for us to never find out,” the mom said and stood up beside the bed, tucking in her adoring son and kissed him goodnight.
The son giggled and laughed after feeling ticklish. “Good night, my dear boy,” she whispered in the air.
“Night mommy,” the boy answered while yawning.
She walked towards the door and slowly closed it.
Meanwhile…
In a far away, remote place of the kingdom of Vampires, evil lurks throughout the darkness. As the clouds dissipates, the full moon brightly filled the night and silent sky.
Inside the palace, the big door to the throne room opened and a servant entered the premises and greeted the King, who was sitting highly and extravagantly on the throne.
“Your Majesty, I bring news about the mundane world,” the servant said while bowing, paying his respects.
The king spoke, “And what is this news about the human world?”
The servant lifted his head but did not meet the King eye to eye for it is prohibited to meet the eyes of the King or any of the Royal family. The punishment is death.
“Your majesty, the attacks have reached the human world and we fear that this will escalate quickly and become a trouble for our existence.” The servant replied.
The room was suddenly filled with murmurs. “Silence!” The Kings voice echoed the throne room and the council and those in the room fell silent, heeding the King’s orders.
“And what of the rogue vampires attacking Sol and the pure-bloods?” The King asked.
Sol, the known name of the Vampire world.
A war is brewing in Sol and the Vampires, commoners, Pure bloods and Royals alike are in fear of their lives for their enemies aren’t afraid of death. They only intent to kill everyone they see on their paths, leaving destructions behind.
“We-well, the soldiers are still trying to subdue the enemies but their number has greatly increased and there are unknown creatures joining the battle, your Majesty,” he explained.
“Just how strong are these enemies! We have sent our elites in the battle and yet, we have not won a single war!”
The room filled with murmurs again and the King felt his subjects scared and threatened. But so is he, he didn’t know what else to do. They have little information about their enemies because if they ever catch one to interrogate, they kill themselves willingly. No one is giving them information about what they need to win the battle.
“Find my son! Find the prince and bring him to my Chambers!” He announced, his baritone voice filling the room. He then stood up and walked his way to the door.
“Dismissed!” He said before going out.
He made his way to his chambers and waited for his son.
Meanwhile… at the other end of the castle…
The young prince is in his chambers, pacing back and forth about how to tell his father that he is planning on leaving Sol for a few days when he knows he will never agree with his plan.
“Sire,” someone spoke behind his back.
“The King requests your presence in his chambers, immediately,” the servant spoke,
The prince stopped on his tracks and faced the one who spoke to him.
“And what is this about?” He asked.
The servant couldn’t seem to answer the prince.
“Never mind, I will follow shortly,” the prince spoke.
Well, I don’t know what this is all about. He couldn’t have known about my plans. I still need to meet mother, she couldn’t have told father already, would she?
Wane thought to himself.
“Well it’s now or never,” he finally said, making up his mind to go meet his father, the King.
He made his way to the hallway and into the Kings chambers. The big doors swung open and the prince went inside the largely built castle wing with its luxury decorations.
“Your Majesty,” Wane greeted his father with formalities despite being alone together.
“Son, we need a plan to stop these rogue vampires from tearing us one by one. I need my strongest fighter on the field,” the King spoke.
The person he meant was his son, Wane, the prince. He is known to be the strongest of all vampires and yet he chose not to participate in a battle yet for he was worried about his Love from the the mundane world. He fears that if he is too busy to battle, he will not be able to save his woman.
“Father, I will gladly do that, if you give me a few days to go to the mundane world,” He spoke.
“What?!” The king answered enraged. He was against the idea.
“Have you not been keeping tabs about the battles that we encountered? They are finishing our people one by one, and what? You want to go to the mundane world?” His father spoke in anger.
“Is it about that girl again?!” He said in spite.
“Father!” Wane answered.
“Do not defy the words of tour king! I am the ruler of this world and you are one of my sub—“
Their conversation was interrupted when the large doors were sung opened and it revealed the queen, gallantly striding along with her long gown, dismissing the fact that the king and the prince are arguing.
“My Queen, we are having a conversation,” the King pointed out as soon as the doors closed and left only the three of them inside the room.
“Let him go, dear.” The Queen spoke after seating down the sofa and faced the two grown men arguing.
“What?” The King asked confused.
“I had a vision,” the queen simply said. The two fell silent and stopped the argument.
“We can still hold off the enemies for a few days, let your son go and all will be well,” the queen said and both fell in awe as if something she said was both unbelievable and comforting.
The three remained and continued their discussion privately.
