Chapter 2 : Ariana Black Moon

" Are you out of your mind, Ben? " One of his older brothers questioned him.

" You very well know, brother, how this will all affect all of us ", his youngest brother, Alpha Dorian said.

" Then what are you implying, Dorian, that we should kill a month-old little girl for the stupid legend " Alpha Jeremy growled at his brother. The eldest Black Moon brother, Alpha Orion, was just watching how his brothers were fighting with each other. But then he decided enough was enough and a loud and thunderous growl shook the entire room. All of the brothers shut their mouths and sat back.

" Don't you all ever forget she is a Black Moon. Legend or not , special or not, she is our blood, our family. What ever happens, we will deal with it together ", the eldest Alpha Orion roared, looking at his younger brothers. The younger brothers nodded their heads.

" So do you have a name in your mind, Ben ", the eldest Alpha asked.

" Ariana . . . Ariana Black Moon ", Alpha Benjamin said.

Everyone was impressed by her name and thus a new Era in the Black Moon family began with the birth of Ariana Black Moon.

After Five Years :

" Dad, I also want to do training " said a five year old Ariana. Her father chuckled at her and she made a very serious face. Upon realizing his daughter was actually serious, Alpha Benjamin stopped laughing.

" But why do you want to train sweetie? You are just a little girl ", her father said to her.

" I just talked with Brother Allen and he told me about his training. So I decided from tomorrow I will also train " Said Ariana, her hand folded above her chest. Just then, her mother, Luna April, came with a plate full of sweet berries. She looked at her daughter and then at her mate.

" What happened " Luna April asked her mate.

" Well, our daughter wants to train " Alpha Benjamin said to his mate.

" Why do you want to train sweetie ", Luna April asked her daughter.

" So that I can protect you " Ariana replied in a serious tone. Her father stifled a laugh while her mother was moved by her daughter's concern for them.

" All right then you can train from tomorrow " Luna April said and Ariana jumped up and down excitedly while Alpha Benjamin just looked at his mate and his daughter.

" When do you think she will develop her gifts ", Luna April asked her husband, who was reading some journals.

" We don't know yet. According to all the journals I have read till now, she can develop her gift when she is mature enough. But we don't know for sure when that will happen " Alpha Benjamin said with a sigh.

" Do you think I made a mistake by allowing her to train ", Luna April asked, doubting her own decision.

" No, I don't think so. Besides, it's better for her. If she really is a special wolf, then she needs training more than ever. You are doing great honey. Don't doubt yourself " Alpha Benjamin said, assuring his mate. Both Alpha and Luna talked for a while regarding Ariana before falling asleep.

After Another Six Years :

The pack house was filled with people as Alpha Benjamin was about to settle a dispute between two fellow wolves. Everyone was waiting for Alpha's decision.

" Do you have anything else to say " Alpha Benjamin asked the prisoner who was charged with jewel theft.

" I already plead my case, Alpha. I did not steal any kind of jewelry from this man's house. It's true I was there but I did not steal anything ", The prisoner pleaded once again.

" Then how come our family jewel is missing you bastard ", the man roared in anger, looking at the prisoner. The Alpha growled at the person.

" Mr. Miles, keep your temper to yourself or else I will have to teach you how to be calm and quiet " Alpha Benjamin growled.

Alpha Benjamin looked at both of them and was about to make a decision when someone interrupted.

" Papa Papa look " Ariana shouted as she was excited to show the new medal she had just got from her school. But then she became quiet as a mouse seeing so many people in their pack house and a man who was in the cage. Her father looked at her and signaled her to come near. Without making any more noise, Ariana quietly walked towards her father.

" What is it " Alpha Ben asked his daughter.

" See, I got a medal for karate. Everyone is calling me the Karate Kid now ", Ariana proudly said, and her father smiled at her daughter's achievement.

" Papa, why is that man in a cage ", Ariana slowly asked her father in a whisper.

" That man stole some jewelry from Uncle Miles ", her father said.

" I did not steal anything, Alpha ". The man pleaded again after hearing his Alpha, who was sure that he was the culprit.

" Silence " Alpha Ben said as he looked at the prisoner.

Meanwhile, Ariana curiously looked at the prisoner. She didn't know him. She looked at Uncle Miles, who was enraged. She scooted over to her father's to say something.

" Papa, I think that Uncle is telling the truth. He did not steal any jewelry ", Ariana whispered in her father's ear. Alpha Ben chuckled, seeing how his daughter was so naive and so compassionate towards others.

" Papa I am serious. That Uncle is not lying " Ariana said again and this time she was actually serious. Alpha Ben looked at his daughter and for the first time in his life he was scared.

" How are you so sure honey ", he asked his daughter.

" I don't know papa, but I think I can tell when one person is lying or not " Araina said to her father. Alpha Benjamin was shocked to hear this and he looked at his daughter, who was one hundred percent sure that this man did not commit the crime.

But the jewel was stolen so somebody must have done it.

" Tell me honey is Uncle Miles lying ", Alpha Benjamin asked Ariana.

Ariana looked at Uncle Miles and nodded her head in disagreement.

" No Papa, he isn't lying " Araiana said. Alpha Benjamin again looked over all the papers related to this case and something did not seem right. Then he found out what his daughter said was true. Neither the prisoner nor Mr. Miles were lying. The jewel was stolen, but not by that man, but by Miles's son. As per their pack rules and regulations, junior Miles was sent to jail for six months. After finishing the case, Alpha Benjamin hurriedly went towards his daughter. He was wondering if his little girl had already developed her abilities. The way she was so sure about their honesty was not something to be found in common wolves. His heart was racing with different probable situations regarding his ten-year-old daughter.

Alpha Benjamin told everything that happened in the pack house to his mate and April's face paled hearing her daughter's deed.

" Do you think she can tell whether a person is lying or not " Luna April asked her mate.

" I don't know, honey, but I have an idea how to test her " Alpha Benjamin said and told his mate his idea. Both Alpha and Luna went over to their daughter's room to test her.

" Hey sweetie what are you doing ", Alpha Ben asked his daughter, who was practicing some moves.

" Well, I am practicing my moves, dad, so I can do better " replied Ariana, smilingly.

" It's okay you can do that later. We want to talk to you honey ", Luna April said, as she moved closer to her daughter.

" What is it mommy " asked Ariana.

" Do you remember how you told me you can tell when someone is lying or not ", Benjamin asked, and Ariana nodded her head.

" Since how long have you been doing that? " April asked.

" I don't know mommy. I just know when a person is telling the truth or not ", Ariana replied.

" Is it a bad thing mommy ", she suddenly asked, and her parents looked at each other and then looked at her.

" No honey, why do you think that? It's a very good thing that you can know when a person is telling the truth or not ", April said.

" Then why are you asking me all this " Ariana asked.

" That's because I want to know whether you are telling the truth or not, honey " Alpha Ben said.

" Ohhh " Ariana said.

" Now your father and I are going to say something. Some of them are true, while some not. You have to figure out and then tell us which one is true or not ", April explained, and Ariana nodded.

" I had eggs for lunch ", Ben said.

Ariana looked at her father and then answered it was a lie. She was answering every question perfectly right. Each passing time, Ariana answered correctly, April's face paled and Ben's expression showed nothing but worry. The day they always feared had come. Ariana finally developed her gift, the gift of honesty. Even though they were prepared for this day but still in a corner of their hearts, they were worried about their little princess. A princess who was destined to do great things. As her name Ariana suggested, she was the most holy who would be the salvation for everyone. She would make everyone prosper and would bring peace to everyone who ever came in contact with her.
