1063 Words
The old lady along with her driver, Mr. Harrison, reached Cotswolds after a one-and-a-half-hour drive. The old lady wiped off her tears and got out of the car. Her driver Mr. Harrison followed her from behind. She came near the car, in which her son and daughter in law had left. But the only thing different was that the car was completely damaged now. Seeing the state of the car she was heartbroken. She wondered, if the state of the car was so bad, what about the people inside the car? She just prayed to god that he would grant her son and daughter in law another chance. “Madam Ornella Davis?” a man called her name from behind. She turned around to find a gentleman around the age of 35 to 40 years. “Yes, I am Ornella Davis. Who would you be sir?” The old lady, Ornella Davis asks. “I am officer Decker, Madam. I was the one that spoke to you over the phone,” the gentleman answers introducing himself. The old lady, Ornella Davis nods in acknowledgement. Seeing the old lady’s sad eyes, the man, officer Decker felt bad for her. “Madam sorry for your loss.” Officer Decker says to the old lady, Ornella Davis with condolence filled eyes. The old lady, Ornella Davis, just wipes her tears and composes herself. She has to be strong, at least for her granddaughter, her bambina. “Officer Decker, over the phone you told me that you felt that this accident was not an accident, but something planned. I what to know what made you think that,” the old lady, Ornella Davis asks. The man, Officer Decker, nods his head and leads the old lady to another direction. He leads her to the direction where there were some tire marks on the road. “Madam Ornella, you see these tire marks. These are a tire marks of a huge truck. By the mark created on the road, I can clearly say that the truck was in high speed. And also, the car is badly crashed on the one side, which makes me think that a truck had hit it, which resulted in the car to fly out of the road and to land on the side paths.” The man, officer Decker explains. “How can you be sure that these marks are of a truck that passed from here today?” The old lady, Ornella Davis asks. “Well, I too thought the same thing. But a few distance away from here there is a shop. The same shop’s owner informed us about the accident. Anyways, the shop had some cameras installed that focused on the road. I checked the cameras to see whether I can spot any truck which can match the size of these tires. But there were none. So, I can conclude that this was a planned murder,” Officer Decker explained to The old lady. Hearing the man, officer Decker, the old lady, Ornella Davis was in deep thoughts. She couldn’t say that she did not have enemies. She had enemies, many enemies. So, she could believe it when officer Decker told her that this accident was in fact a planned murder. But what she could not believe is that, her enemies would go to the extent of killing her family. “I think you are right office Decker. It has to be a planned murder,” Ornella Davis says softly. “We will do everything we can to catch the person behind this Madam Ornella Davis,” Officer Decker says in determination. She nods her head and they both go back to the accident spot. The accident spot which was crowded before was not crowded any more. Only the 3 paramedical people and some other junior officer were present. The paramedical people were taking the bodies out of the car. Seeing the paramedical people take carry four bodies out of the car, Ornella Davis was confused. Two of them were her son and Daughter in law. Who were the other two? “Officer Decker, whom does the other two body belong to?” Ornella Davis ask officer Decker. “They are May Copper and Gorge Copper. They belong to the town nearby. I tried to contact their family and relatives. But they are all alone. Their son has passed on for a few years ago. So, there is no one for them.” Officer Decker says softly. The paramedics team had placed the bodies in the stretcher. Officer Decker informed Ornella Davis, that they had to take the bodies to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. “Madam Ornella Davis, we are required to take the bodies to the hospital to make a post-mortem report. You can take the bodies after the post-mortem,” Officer Davis informs to Ornella Davis. Ornella Davis nods in acknowledgment. She was about to ask something, but stopped when she heard a paramedics girl started to shout to her teammates. “OH My GOD!! These two still have their pulses!! We have to take them to the hospital As soon as possible.” The girl was shouting. Hearing the girl, Ornella Davis felt a ray of hope. She prayed to God that let her son and daughter have their lives back. Ornella Davis and Officer Decker rushed to the paramedics team. When they reached near them, they found that the paramedics team put the oxygen mask on Ohvin Davis and Charlotte Davis. Seeing that Ornella thanked god and prayed that he would give them another chance to live. “Take them to the hospital as soon as possible!! We will follow you guys from behind!!” Officer Decker says as he goes to the police car. “Officer Decker, can I accompany the paramedics team?” Ornella asks Officer Decker. “Yes, Madam Ornella, if you wish so,” Officer Decker says. Ornella Davis thanks him and goes towards the two Ambulance in which one had her son and Daughter in law. She told her driver, Mr. Harrison, to get the car and follow them to the hospital. She got inside the Ambulance which had her son and daughter in law. Throughout the ride, she prayed to god for the well being of her son and daughter in law.
