“Please drive faster.” Cullen told his driver the moment he went back to the car, Amelia had surely waited for him in the car and all through the drive no one talked, everyone was lost in their own thoughts, Amelia was thinking of how the day had turned to be, it was just at two and a lot had already happened on her first day at work.

Cullen on the other side was thinking about the dilemma in his head, he loved Virginia as his own sister but it was clear that she was not going to let go of what she felt for him so easily, he needed to do something which he was not yet sure what but he had at all cost to protect Amelia no matter what, he had dragged her in his on mess but she was worth it, she was worth all the risk, he did not quite understand why he chose her but he knew he had to choose her for the deal, and the he spend time with her the more he liked her personality even more.

Amelia was fierce lady that was not afraid of facing her fears, she was always ready and determined to face anything that came her way and the fact that she was not intimidated with Virginia, she stood her ground and told her off, it was the best thing Cullen had seen in years, all the interns that worked at his company were always afraid of Virginia but she was an exception, she was ready to face her and she was already to stand up for herself, that was one thing that he liked about her, the ability to face fears and issues at hand, he was stealing glances at her all through the drive to the company and when the car stopped in front of the company, he stooped to talk to her, he knew he had to say something but he did not know what he was supposed to say.

“Wait Amelia, I need to talk to you about something.” He said as he stopped her and she turned to look at him.

For the very first time, he got to have clear view of her face, she was more than beautiful up-close, she had a an acorn cup chin, her arched eyebrows, her silk brush eye lashes, her blissful galaxy-blue eyes like two pools of liquid fire, she had halo-white teeth that clearly showed her electrifying smile, her puffy, pouting lips that were blossom soft and kiss-inspiring and her midnight black hair that was tied in a high pony tail made her look like a goddess, she was just so perfect, he found himself removing the strand of hair on her face and smiled.

“Hmm… you wanted to say something to me?” She asked interrupting his afternoon fantasy.

“Oh yeah, I wanted to tell you something but then saw that strand of hair on your face, anyway, I want to apologize for the way Virginia acted earlier, I swear I did not know that she was coming there and if I knew at all I would have taken you there, I am really for the way she talked to you, I just don’t know what I can do to get to make her stay away from me and my family but she is always stuck like some glue, I just have no idea of what I am going to do, but I promise you, once I find out something, I will make sure that’s he doesn’t come any closer to you, that I promise.” He said and Amelia smiled revealing her halo-white teeth that were arranged so perfectly in her mouth.

“You don’t have to apologize anything to me, I am good, I saw the hatred for me the moment I stepped feet in your company and now that I know why she hates my guts, I will try as much as possible not to brush shoulders with her, I know how to handle her type, you don’t let her think that you are intimidated by her but rather make sure that she knows you are not afraid of her, that way she won’t have to mess around with you, I know how to handles myself and I will know how to protect myself around her, you shouldn’t be worried about me.” She said but Cullen was still not convinced, he wanted to make sure that she was safe because if anything happened to her, he wouldn’t forgive himself and her sister, Chloe would not let it go just like that, it was his responsibility to make sure that she was safe.

“I know you can take good care of yourself and I like your confidence, but don’t forget that is my responsibility to take care of you, you became my responsibility the moment you started working for me and the moment you agreed to, let me just take care of you, I know Virginia and the extent she can reach I don’t want you to fall victim of her psychotic nature, let me take care of you, that is the least I can do right now, I hope you understand what I mean.”

“Of course, I do understand everything, there is no problem but I want you to know that I can also take good care of myself on my own, I will deal with her but meanwhile let us act like nothing happened I am not always a drama person so I don’t want this push and pull of your childhood lover, will you excuse me now, I would like to get back to work, I am thirty minute slate and i would want that to be a problem” She said and Cullen smiled .

“I am the boss and I decide when you are to be at work, so stay with me here for a few more minutes, i won’t fire you I promise.” He said and Amelia could not hold back her laughter, she could not believe that she was seated in her boss’s car laughing with him and talking freely with him as if they had been mates for long, the Cullen that was always after perfection, the Cullen that was always grumpy according to Melanie, the Cullen that did not entertain laziness at work and he was always alone in his office, eh did not have time for women because he always believed that he was yet to meet his perfect match, he was always into perfection and Amelia was nowhere near that, she was always messy and disorganized.

May be I should just enjoy this moment while it still lasts; he sure is a good company to keep.

Amelia said inwardly. “In as much as that sounds enticing as hell, sorry for my language, I think I have to get to work, we both have had a long day.” She said

“Yes, that I understand I am sorry for putting through all of this, but I seriously want you to think about what I told you, it is important to me and let me know your decision as soon as you make up your mind, and oh, Amelia you don’t have to fear me, I don’t eat people, aside work, I can be a norm human being, so stop treating me like I am some alien, it is just that I rarely had out with a lot of people aide sister and her husband who are by the way my greatest friends, I hope you understand that.”

“Of course Cullen, but right now we are at work, maybe we should keep that professionalism for our own good and for my safety too, I don’t want Virginia to start thinking that we have something going on between us and this lunch dates, we should think about them too, we can always d that after work and by the way that reminds me, what if I say yes to your offer, what does it entail because I believe to make your mom and the world to believe that something is going between us we have to make it look and sound real and I don’t think that will be possible with her around.” She said and Cullen beamed with happiness inside, she was at last talking of a positive feedback and that made him happy although he did not want to show it openly.

“If you say n, there will be nothing I can’t, I will handle her, just let me deal with her, you just focus on the positive side, I am sure this is going to work, that is if you are ever going to say yes to my preposition which I am hoping you do, I will handle everything, just don’t worry about anything.”

“Okay, I trust you will do the right thing, Mr. Smith.”

“Huh, so we are back at Mr. Smith?” He asked and they both laughed.

“We are at work; don’t forget that, Mr. Smith.” She said and Cullen shrugged while laughing.

“Your sense of humor is on other level, I guess I will see you in the office?”

“Okay sure sir.” She said and the driver opened the door for her, she adjusted her skirt and checked herself on the car’s mirror before walking into the building, Virginia was not yet back at her desk and she sighed as she walked into the elevators.

Once she was ta her office, she sat down and fished out her phone, she wanted to call Emma and tell her but the decided against it, she put the phone back on the desk and got busy at work.
