“Yes, can you imagine that I am having my own office now? Like I own an office right now and I feel so damn lucky, I don’t know about you but I have never been this happy before, everything is doing great by the way thanks for asking.” Amelia told Emma on the phone, she had just been done with the office tour and was back in her new office, she then decided to tell Emma about how everything was going back at work.

“Hey relax, I didn’t even ask how your day is and you are already filling me in, I just called to check how you are doing, because apparently, you were supposed to call me once your ass was at work but I guess maybe your boss made you lose your focus, so how is the going?” Emma asked and Amelia laughed.

“Isn’t that what I am supposed to do, or maybe the schedule changed, I am your friend and I am supposed to fill you in about every detail of my life and what is going on, anyway that aside, I was telling you something before you rudely interrupted, well I got my own office now, in fact, Melanie was telling me that I am lucky because no intern who worked here got his/her own office, they all worked under different departments but with no offices, so I guess it is my lucky day today, and by the way this is the former outreach Director’s office, she is on a maternity leave and will be back, which by the I will have been done working here so I guess I am just going to enjoy the opportunity while it lasts.”

“Yes, I wish I could say the same thing but I don’t think I am agreeing with you on that, you are not lucky or it is just not your lucky day because Chloe made you get that job and don’t forget, she is his friend so maybe he is just trying to be nice, doesn’t make you special in any way.”

“Whatever Emma, just be happy for me, today is my lucky plus this guys is so serious with work, I don’t think he would mix friendship with business so, it is still my lucky day and yay! I already made a friend and an enemy within hours at work, this word is funny.” She said after recalling the encounter with Virginia receptionist.

“I bet your attitude made you gain an enemy on your first day at work, what did the two of you disagree on?”

“Imagine, this has nothing to do with my attitude, that b***h is full of s**t I tell you, I just walked into the building and I asked her if I could see Cullen, the boss and she was there giving me a bitchy attitude just because she thought I was there for ‘him’ you know what I am trying to say and to say the less I was impressed with the way she acted, I think I can ride with her this three months, I wouldn’t mind crossing paths with her, it is going to be fun I swear.” She said with a smile on her face, it was like she was ready for Virginia at all cost, she wanted to rove to her that she was just not the previous frail and naïve interns, she wanted to show her that she was different form the interns that had worked at the company before her.

Emma cleared her throat before saying anything to her, “if you would ask me, I don’t think that I a good idea, it is your first day at work and you are on your internship, this is going to affect your school progress don’t forget, this is also key for you to graduate at the end of the year and I wouldn’t want you screwing it up with these stupid chick fights, let her be and do what has taken you there, it is not a matter of showing who is the winner or who is stronger than who, this is your future and your sister is going to be pretty mad at you if she learnt anything about what you are planning, Amelia, whatever is going on your mind right now, let it stop, I know you are a good lady who doesn’t like to fight and I think you should maintain that character with you whenever, wherever.” She said and in as much as Amelia did not want Virginia to know that she was naïve, she knew that her friend Emma was right.

She was supposed to do what took her there and that is exactly what she was going to do but she was not going to let Virginia treat her like she could not fight for herself, so in case she started her drama, she was more than ready to dance to her tunes.

“I get you Emma but I did not say I was going to cause wrangles with her I just wanted her to know that I don’t feel intimidated by her and she is not going to ruin this special opportunity for me, so I am going to deal with her if she tries to do anything weird and stupid, I won’t just sit here and watch her ruin my career, you know what I am saying right?”

“Of course, I do, I just don’t want you to get into any trouble that is going to cost your career but if she tries anything you know I am always right here for you, we are both going to show her that she is not supposed to mess around with you, but meanwhile just try and concentrate on what is important, and that is work you feel me?”

“Of course, I am glad to have you as my friend, and I mean it.”

“You don’t have to thank me for anything, isn’t that why we are friends, to be there for each other whenever one needs the other, anyway, what is wrong with that Virginia lady, why would she just show an attitude and you have never even met before or did the two of you ever meet?”

“You know the answer to that, so i asked Melanie about her and what she revealed to me is quite interesting.”

“And who is Melanie?”

“My bad, I forgot to mention, like I told you earlier, I met a friend ad enemy today at work so Melanie happens to be a fiend I just made today, she is Cullen’s Personal Assistant and she is so welcoming, we had a long chat as she gave me a tour around the office and the company, so she told me that Virginia is Cullen’s childhood friend, she is in love with him but Cullen doesn’t feel the same way for her and she is just here so she could be close to her and to make sure that she is with no woman, aside her, she has made lives of interns her a struggle and even at one point hired goons to beat up some brunette intern that she thought that Cullen was into, so I can’t just sit here and wait for her to hire goons to kill me, I have to be prepared because apparently she feels threatened by my presence in this company so, I won’t just let her win this time round, despite I am not even interested in Cullen, I just want to do my job and get home, that’s all.”

“Says a girl who was already attracted to her boss’s voice, I know you are not into him but don’t let your emotions get the better part of you, that girl seems dangerous and she can even poison you or send people to kill you, she is obsessed with Cullen and even if he doesn’t feel the same way about her, she still feels like she owns him and those type of people can be very dangerous, so my advice to you, avoid her and her dramas at all cost, act like you don’t even know who Cullen is aside from work and do your work, come back home, that is all you should be doing if you want to avoid her drams, follow my advice.” She said

“I agree with you on that, I’m just going to be me and do what is expected of me, and if she tries anything fishy, then I will talk to my boss to just let him know, in case of anything.”

“There you go, now I don’t want to keep you talking here while you are supposed to be at work doing something, I will let you get back to, I have a meeting with Ashton’s boss, it is like some interview so I should get going.” Emma said

“Wow, that is some great news to jumpstart your day, I hope all goes well while you are there, I am going to call Ashton and thank him on your behalf.”

“You dot need to do that because I already invited him over for dinner at our place, I hope you don’t mind?”

“Of course, not, that is a great idea, and when you reach there, don’t forget to remind him to tag that cute friend of his along, it has been long.” She said and Emma laughed

“I get your point, I will remind him and by the way you two might be something, who knows?”

“You know well I don’t date Emma but anyway just tell him to tag him.” She said and after the two talking for a few more minutes, Amelia hung up the phone and got back to finishing some paper works before lunch time.
