Dorian, Caden, Greta, Adan, and I stood in front of the mass of people mixed with our pack members leading the way right to Erik’s mansion. He may have been preparing for this battle as well as I had but he didn’t think we would attack in the night. Therefore, we had the advance. However small it was, we would take it.
“We will fight off the soldiers as you get to Karoline first. Erik won’t be anywhere near her once his soldiers get word to him that we’re here,” Dorian explained.
We had discussed the plan multiple times. As much as they wanted me to fight side by side with them, they knew my priority was Karoline. Whether we won this war or not, I would at least keep my promise to Caden and get his mate back safely, even if it was only for a little while.
