Garrett’s POV
My emotions were all over the place right now. I was furious at Valerie for what she did, but I couldn’t confront or tell our parents. After a fun time making pizzas, I messed up. I only wanted to remind Addison of how good things had been between us the night we slept together. It was the best night of my life, and I wanted her to be my wife.
I wasn’t lying to Addison. It wouldn’t be a leap of faith. I promised her I could be the husband she needed, and I meant it. Tripp referred me to an attorney after breakfast a few months ago. He had told me that I would need a shark of an attorney to try to get custody. He reminded me Addison’s attorney at Tammy’s trial was one of the best in the state. He would be hard to beat but not impossible.
