Sunday, the day with the full moon: “Can you message Cherry to tell her we are out of cheese?” I call to Daniel, who’s helping by keeping Fiona away. She’s already done a few things to make this dinner, but wants to help more. Unfortunately, time is running out, so I need to pick up speed, not help her cut vegetables. “On it,” I get back, as I prepare “snack dinner,” or our version of girl dinner. More preparation goes into our version, but the eating experience is much the same. Before Cherry is back from last night’s client, with the cheese, I’ve prepared most of the nachos, fried chicken clubs, nuggets, three types of potatoes, and different salads and pasta.
