Chapter Two: Awake "Doctor, she is awake," an unfamiliar but soft female voice said as my eyes fluttered open. Everything was blurry, but I could see a few figures huddled around me. Where was I, and who were these people? "Hello, my dear Luna. My name is Doctor Abbey, and I will be looking after you. You have had a very nasty fall,l, but I assure you, that you will be fine after some rest." I felt the person's hand touch the top of mine as if she were trying to reassure me. I realised I was crying. I had no idea who these people around me were or how I had gotten there. Why were they were referring to me as Luna? I was nothing so special. I was a worthless Omega that had disobeyed my Alpha. "Alpha Isaac," I called out, panicking, as I looked around. I didn't recognise any of the eyes staring back at me. "Alpha Isacc, where are you? I don’t belong here. Please help me!" I yelled louder this time, causing the doctor to frown in astonishment. “Doctor, is Luna ok?” Somebody asked as the doctor reached for her bag for something. “Get the Alpha at once; I need to calm Luna, " the doctor insisted as she felt my forehead and hushed me softly. A figure entered the room, and I immediately felt my heart go wild and my body tingle. He looked straight at me before coming to my bedside. It was him—the one who had saved me on the border. I thought I had dreamt that. He was just as handsome as I had remembered in my dream. His piercing blue eyes and mop of black curls sent me into a tide of emotion. Without a word, he picked up my hand and took it into his. Instantly calming me down. "You may leave now, doctor." He said. The others in the room, dressed as maids, bowed and left without a word. "Certainly, Alpha Kai. However, I will return later to check on Luna."She nodded and left the room, shutting the door behind her. I was left alone with this tall woman, but I felt secure. She called him Alpha, but he wasn't my Alpha. "Are you ... are you my mate?" I stuttered, unable to take my eyes off this man stroking my hand and sending electric waves up and down my body. He smiled at me, and without a word, he leaned in to kiss my lips softly. Wow. "Indeed I am, and you are my Luna," he said. This could not be right, indeed. This guy was adamant that I was his mate, and sure, I felt a strong connection towards him, but it was happening so quickly. I tried to get up from the bed, but he held his hand and stopped me. "You can't get up yet. You have had a nasty fall." He insisted. "I remember going into the forest and hearing something calling to me. I... I don't know what happened, but my locket... it... "I felt my locket and frowned as I remembered that man accusing me of being a thief. "What do you remember?" The Alpha demanded to know. "I was running, and then I met someone, and he accused me of stealing this locket. It's all I have from my mother. "I gasped, remembering it all so clearly now. “But, how am I here? Were you following me?” I found myself bravely asking. The Alpha shook his head. Anger flicked his face as he turned to the window, obviously not wanting to recall it. "A rogue. A strange one was a spy of some sort. "He said. |” We have had a lot of them lately. My warrior believed you were the rogue, but I know you were not.” "A spy, but why?" He turned back to face me and shook his head. He sat on the edge of the bed, taking my hands. "All you need to know is you are safe, and nothing will hurt you. I will not allow it, " he insisted. “You are my Luna and will be cherished and looked after. That is a fact, my love. I have been searching for you for years. I always felt you were close by last night; that was the strongest I had felt before. And now, here you are.” he said softly; he stroked my cheeks with his thumb, causing my heart to race in my chest. A knock at the door made him jump up and growl. "What is it?" he boomed so loudly that the wall of the room shook. A deep, firm voice sounded from outside the door. "Alpha, we have found the rogue in question." The Alpha immediately flew to the door, forcing it open with such force I was shocked it didn't fall off the hinges. Standing in front of the Alpha was a man about six feet tall and muscular. He had a beard and dark brown eyes. “Very well, I will accompany you. Give me a moment.” Turning back towards me, he stroked my hair and kissed my forehead, assuring me everything was fine. I only nodded in response, unable to breathe a word. "Beta Daniel, let's go into my office and talk further." He insisted and left me all alone in the room for a few seconds before the friendly doctor came bustling in with a smile and a plate of food in her hands. My stomach grumbled loudly at the sight of food. I hadn't realised I was starving. "Luna, I hope you are satisfied with this selection of sandwiches. You need your energy." I wasn't sure how I felt about being called Luna, so I smiled gratefully as I demolished the delicious sandwiches. Ham, cheese, and mayonnaise—my absolute favourite. It was usual for us omegas to sneak a sandwich or two when preparing lunch back at Blue Mountain. After a few minutes, I pushed the plate away, feeling satisfied from eating. I had many questions, but the doctor was hesitant to give me any clues. "Now you need to just worry about getting healed. You're healing quickly, but the Alpha has insisted you stay here for now.” I raised my eyebrows at her words. The Alpha may be an alpha, but he had no say over me while I stayed in bed when I felt fine. "If, as you all seem to put it, I am his Luna, then you should know I am within my rights to leave this bed." The doctor looked shocked at my words. "But the Alpha shall be back any moment." I smiled at the worry in her tone. "My Luna, what are you doing?" I heard his voice and looked up in surprise. Giving him a smirk, I swung my legs over the bed and made to get up, but he was quickly by my side, demanding that I listen to his orders. "I am from the Blue Mountain pack; therefore, my own Alpha Isacc can give me such orders. Now, if you will excuse me, I better be getting home before I am found missing," I told them. I watched as the doctor gasped and took a step backwards. The Alpha kai looked furious at my words. "Do you realise that the blue mountain pack are not who you think they are?" He growled at me. Not who I think them to be? What nonsense was this Alpha talking about? Of course, I knew exactly who my pack were. This is probably why Alpha Isaac disapproved of me leaving anyone's sight. The world was crazy. First, I had been attacked by some awful warrior of his, and now I was being told I was the Luna of his pack—a pack I had never even heard of, let alone seen, in my twenty-one years of being alive. It couldn't be true. "You are to stay here where I can fully protect you. I will not allow you out of my sight. That, my Luna, is for your good. I am the Alpha." He insisted very firmly. “Alpha Kai with all due respect, i am just an omega from another pack. I have no wolf, how can i be your luna?” i shook my head and crossed my arms over my chest. He approached me, placing a finger underneath my chin and forcinhg me to meet his gaze. Gosh his eyes were so hypntotising i could lose myself in them. His gaze flickered to my lips and suddenly he traced a thumb along my lips. I felt excitement run down my spine as my heartbeat raced harder against my chest. Then suddenly he leant down, pressing his lips against mine.
