Since all the ladies had decided it was time for a night out, we, boys, had decided to gather at Alastair and Jacob’s place and catch up. The evening held a comfortable hum to it and seemed to set the atmosphere in the room. I leaned back against the couch as I took a long sip of the cool beer in my hand.
“I’m so excited!” Mark exclaimed, and I chuckled as I shook my head. His mother was coming for a visit, and he had been talking about it non-stop since she had booked her flight. “It’s about time, she hardly comes to visit anymore,”
“And you aren’t worried she will try to reorganize your life while she’s here?” I teased, but Mark just laughed as he waved away my comment.
