I sat there taking it all in as different ones asked questions. I listened to the questions and answers, but no matter how many questions were asked, the answers never answered the one question that plagued my thoughts. As I sat there pretty much lost in my own thoughts, I hadn't realized that the room had grown quiet. "Jenna, are you OK" Nathan asked, shaking me slightly to get my attention. I looked up to see the entire room now staring at me. "What? I'm sorry, did I miss something" I asked, confused. Everyone looked down at the conference table. It was now covered in vines. Elder Micah looked at me. "Jenna, you have to work on controlling your powers. The first part of that is to control your emotions. So do you want to say what is on your mind or should we expect to be living in the forest before this meeting is over," He asked jokingly, causing everyone to laugh, including me. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know" I answered, looking down at the ground ashamed. "There is no reason to be ashamed of your powers. They sometimes get the best of us before we even realize it. No harm was done dear, and we can all help you to learn to control them. If I am not mistaken, I believe this is actually why Elder Micah has blessed us with an appearance. Am I right, Micah"? The soft voice of Luna Penelope asked. Elder Micah smiled softly. "You are correct, Luna. You see Jenna as you probably figured I had been sent to help guide you and to teach you. That is why I was there to make sure that you left Revenge Hills. I knew it was your time to leave. I also knew that I had to follow you to wherever it was that you were destined to be, and as my luck happened, I found you here. I knew instantly that you were in the very best of hands to be able to reach your full potential." Micah answered. I looked at him, and before I realized I asked him "Is that why I saw the images in your eyes." Everyone gasped, including Elder Micah. That was when I realized that he did not know anything about it. "What do you mean, Jenna", he asked quickly. Then he added "What did you see". "I didn't mean to do anything wrong. It was just when I stared into your eyes I saw images. They were mostly fuzzy but the only real clear image I had was of the Alpha and the Luna", I admitted. Elder Micah stared into my eyes. This time though, I saw nothing but his eyes. "Can you see anything now, Jenna" He asked. I shook my head no. "I wonder if you are capable of seeing my visions as I get them then, because that is how I knew you were here. Fuzzy images appear until usually the last one is clear", he stated. I shrugged my shoulders. I had no clue of how any of this stuff worked.
"So would you like to ask the questions that are bothering you now" Dr. Henry asked, looking at me. I swallowed the lump that formed immediately in my throat. I took a sip of water, trying to figure out how to ask what was on my mind. "Well, it's the question that I have been asking since all of this started. If all of this is true, and apparently it is, then why didn't my parents want me? Why didn't the Moon Goddess interfere when they left me in the woods" tears rolled out of my eyes as I asked. Nathan was rubbing circles on my back, trying to ease the pain of the abandonment of my parents. I could hear the sob that escaped Luna Penelope, as I looked up and saw that she was in tears as well. The Alpha was holding her as she cried.
"Dear, I do not believe, well matter of fact, I know for sure that you were never abandoned by your parents. You were in fact stolen out of the crib you slept in the night that you were born." Dr Henry answered softly. I was completely confused. "How do you know this? " I asked, looking around for answers. "Because the answers are in your DNA" he answered. "How does my DNA tell you that I was not abandoned but stolen in the middle of the night" I asked, getting more and more upset. "Calm down Jenna" Zade said softly looking at me. "Your DNA did not tell me that, but it did tell me who your parents are, and unfortunately I know the story of your birth and kidnapping because I was there the night it happened. I was the one who delivered you" he explained softly. The room went completely silent except the sound of sniffles between myself and the Luna. "What are you talking about, Dr. Henry" I asked, demanding the answers as to who my parents were. That was when Alpha Lucas looked in my eyes and said "You are our child. You were taken from your crib shortly after we placed you in it on the night the day you were born. You were taken from us. We never abandoned you, baby girl. We have spent our entire lives searching for you since that night. Thank the Moon Goddess that your destiny has finally brought you back to where you belong. But you are our daughter, Dream", he informed me. As I looked into the Alpha's eyes, I now realized why he had never made eye contact with me before. It was because his eyes were the same color as mine and I have never seen anyone else with blue and purple eyes like mine ever before. I was always told how unique they were. Now I was staring at the person who gave them to me. The room began to spin as the news hit me. Everything that I ever was told was a lie. My old Luna had lied to everyone. I looked at Zade and the other two and realization was hitting them as well. The only way that the Luna had me was because she was the one who had kidnapped me in the first place. Anger all of a sudden consumed me. All I could see was red and fire and that woman standing in the middle of a blaze. Suddenly, I felt the temperature drop as a cool hand took mine. It was like cold water now racing through my veins instead of fire and anger. After I cooled down, I looked up to see the huge conference table now in ashes. The hand that now had mine was Luna Penelope. Her eyes were ice blue as she looked at me. "You cooled me down but how?' I asked as I realized she was the one that helped me reign in my powers. "Because I am your mother, and as luck would have it, thankfully my wolf is also the mother of your wolf. Together we can help control you and your wolf. It is the mother bond. If Moon Beam had not been Star' s mother, then I would not be able to do a thing because Star could just take over. Same thing if you had a different mother, Moon Beam could control Star but not you or your emotions. It only works because the both of you belong to the both of us" She explained softly. Then she hugged me. It was like this wall that she held up was suddenly gone and visions consumed me. It was of the Luna giving birth. Then it changed to them placing the baby in the crib for the night, then realizing she was gone. It continued to show me the searching and everything that was done to find the missing baby. The last vision was that of when the Luna first saw me on the stage and I received the shocks that went through me as my blood spilled to the ground. I pulled away from the Luna in shock. She looked at me and said "Now do you understand, we did not ever abandon you." As she said those words tears began to pour from my eyes. I realized that everything that I had been told was a lie and now I was where I was supposed to be. The Moon Goddess was right. "Told you so" Star said in the back of my mind while she smirked at me.
