The next morning I was up early. “so much for sleeping in” I said to myself as I hopped in the shower. I
got out and dressed. I looked at my crown. Was I supposed to wear that thing allow the time, I linked
my mom knowing she would already be awake. “Am I expected to wear that crown all the time ?” I asked.
“Look in the crown chest. There is a daily one in there. For now, yes uou do need to wear some type of crown. Nathan’s is in there too. Just until you get established and everyone knows you” she answered. Great not what I wanted to hear, but oh well.
I found the crowns she was talking about. As it turned out it was not bad and was actually cute. I put it on
and left Nathan’s on the dresser with a note. I linked Marcus. “Ready to train”I asked him. “Sure thing.”
Marcus replied. I stopped by the kitchen to grab bottles of water before heading to the training grounds.
I was met by the head of the kitchen. “Good morning Queen Dream, how may I help you” she asked
bowing. “What is your name”I asked her curious. “My name is Rosie” She answered. “Well Rosie, first of
all, please do not bow to me this early in the morning, Matter of fact, I prefer for you not to at any point
unless of course there is company or something. But our day to day activities, I would actually prefer no
one bows to me or any of my other ranked members just to say good morning. It’s really not needed.
Second, I am in need of a couple of bottles of water for training” I asked her. “Yes mam as you wish. And
I will pass the message to the others about bowing. We will need more clarification of when you do
expect us to bow” she said. “Well let’s put it like this for now,, we all live here inside this big house like a
family am I right” I asked her. She nodded yes. “Well when you were younger and lived with your
parents, did you have to bow to them or use strict manners every time” I asked making a point. “OK I
understand now.” She answered smiling and handing me a couple of bottles of water. “What time do
you normally serve breakfast?” I asked. “Well we are here all day and will cook whenever someone
needs something” she answered. “So no scheduled meal times, and you are expected to stay in here and
wait for someone to decide to eat, I think not. That will most definitely have to change “ I said making me
a quick note. “Thank you Rosie” I told her holding up the water and going to the field.
After sparring with Marcus for about thirty minutes, Zade, Gus, Brian and Aerie joined us on the field.
Marcus looked at them “OK you four, five mile run human form, and then 10 mile run wolf firm. This is
what we will start out with every morning for now” He told them. My wolf Star started to go crazy
wanting out to run herself. “OK Star. I’ll get Marcus to run with us “ I told her. “Marcus mentioning of our
wolf running, Star is begging to run now, do you mind? I already know they are going to be going so we
can get our wolf run out of the way for all of us at one time” I explained. “Sure, everyone shift and
prepare to run” Marcus told Zade and the others. Star shifted immediately, excited to get to stretch her
legs a bit.
Star shook her fur and stretched. She happily greeted Aerie. “I like her” she said playfully. “I do too” I
replied back to my wolf. Aerie chose to work out while the wolves ran. She had brought Jade out and
was allowing her to run the small wolf obstacle course. Star led the way for the run. In no time they
had finished their ten mile run and I had received a link from Nathan letting know he was awake and
that breakfast was ready. “OK Star, it’s time to go back and eat. I still have a lot that I need to do” I told
her. She gave me control as I shifted back to go meet my hubby for breakfast. “No fair, we are hungry
too” Gus yelled out as I started to go inside. “Well next time wake up earlier” I said laughing.
As I got closer to the palace doors, more people were awake and moving about. Every one of them
stopped in their tracks and bowed when I approached. That would have to stop. It took me two times
longer to get inside because I had to stop and acknowledge the member when they bowed.
Nathan was sitting at the dining table. Rose was bringing out trays of good and placing them I n front of
him. “Queen Dream, I have prepared breakfast for the two of you and your protectors. Will they be
joining you for breakfast” she asked looking behind me to see if they were with me. “They are going to love you Rosie” I told her as I linked them and Marcus to come up to eat. “You are the best” Gus said
happily. “Don’t thank me, you will have to thank Rose when you get up here. She did it all” I responded.
I heard the guys before they even opened the door laughing and goofing off. I heard Jade bark happily.
Gus was laughing and talking when he walked in and then he suddenly stopped dead on his tracks. His
nose went straight up in the air sniffing for something. Then Rosie came in bringing another tray of
food. Before anyone could say a word Gus had her wrapped in his arms kissing her. I cleared my throat
to interrupt the make out session in the dining room. “Ummm Gus, people do eat in here’I said. The
two immediately stopped and looked up at me. Gus and Rosie both turned beet red when they saw we
were all standing there looking at them. “I’m sorry Dream… it’s just I found her, I really did” he said
excited. “I see. But do you even know her name” I asked him. Gus looked to the ground ashamed. “No,
I’m sorry. You are right. My wolf Ceasar went crazy. “ he answered. He turned to his new mate and said
“My name is Gus” he told her introducing himself. “My name is Rosie” she told him. It was Brian”s
turned for revenge now “OK can we eat now, before anything else happens and we all lose our appetite
and the food gets cold. “ “Yes please. I agree with Brian for a change” I said. I was starving and I still
needed to get started on some work.
.We all sat down, and I asked Rosie to join us. “I have to finish cooking.” She said. “No mam. For once
the ones here need to find out that breakfast is served at a certain time and if they are not up to eat
then they can defend for themselves. Matter of fact let me go ahead and say this. Breakfast will be served
at six. If anyone plans to eat, they need to be up and dressed and sitting at this table. If not, too bad.
Lunch will be at noon and dinner will be at seven. Same thing applies for each meal. If the time needs
to be changed for whatever reason, we can write it on the message chalk board as we all walk in. If
anybody wants snack trays made or something, they will be expected to get with you and see if it is
something you all can work out. By no means are you obligated to serve these people twenty four hours
a day. If I can make a sandwich and chips, so can they.” I explained. Rosie looked at me like I had lost my
mind but Gus explained “It’s just the way it always has been with us, and the only reason she is probably
here today.” He said quietly not wanting g to really bring up the past. My past had been made public the
day of the trials anyway so it wasn’t anything that she didn’t know. “Well then ok. If that is what you
would like to do, then Thank you” she said grateful. “Matter of fact, the first thing of business I plan to
take care of this morning is meeting with all of the heads of each department. There are some changes
that are going to be made around here. “ I announced. “Oh boy, people are about to have a wake up
call” Zade said and everyone laughed.
