I really needed a good sleep on Saturday morning—I hadn’t slept much during the week with school every day. I thought the weekend would be my chance to relax. Until they added another training session for our age group.
I dragged myself out of bed, got dressed, and grabbed a coffee downstairs.
“Are you ready for today?” Dad asked at the table.
“Why add another training session?” I asked.
“You’re seniors. They need to make sure the older kids know how to take care of themselves and the younger kids.” Dad explained.
“Why do I need to go? No one would trust me near their kids.”
“It’s compulsory. And you’ve never shied away from training.” He said.
“I know. Doesn’t mean I like it.”
