The badgering from my future Beta bugged me. I know he was right it shouldn’t take this long but I was also only 1 day behind him. I also knew deep down he was kind of happy it hadn’t happened yet. I was running through the jungle toward a scream I heard. The scream sent chills down my spine and made me fear the worst. Even with my warrior and wolf I wasn’t running fast enough. I came to a clearing seeing fellow warriors standing around as one approached people kneeling with sacs in on their head. His face was that of one of our gods. He approached the kneeling people and pulled each sac off as I watched as I saw my family kneeling and bound. My warrior screamed and came forward as I ran to them but it was too late. The god figure killed each and everyone. I fall to the dirt crying, clawing for them. He came beside me placing a hand on my back and speaking in Mayan “You have always belonged to me, and now you stay here to serve me for the rest of time. We will rule together as fearsome warriors.” I looked into his red eyes. I was pushed out of my body as I watched a figure of myself, taken over by a dark entity killing and slaying other tribes that stood against our rule. I was screaming, crying, calling out to the gods to do something. Everything stopped. The wolf god approached me. “Child this is what will happen if you can not stop the evil to unfold. If you fail, I will have to wake my brother to take vengeance.” I was began to shake and realized someone was screaming my name. I opened my eyes to see people around me wide eyed and frightened. I scrambled away afraid, I was on the floor against a wall breathing hard. “Vanessa, child look at me.” I heard the elder say to me. “What did you see.” I couldn’t answer I just looked at them to each person, crying still. “Give her a minute to calm down. Damien and I will stay with her.” My mom said and rushed people out of the room. Damien sat next to me wrapping his arms around me and I started to sob harder. I was screaming and crying as I held tight to him. My mom stroked my hair. Telling me to calm down and relax in Mayan.

         I calmed down but continued to cry. “Vanessa you need to speak the elder he knew you were having a vision. You need to tell him.” My mother said to me, I nodded. When he came in he sat in a chair looking at me intently. I spoke of what I saw. He sat back and thought for a moment. “What does it mean? Am I about to witness the murder of my family and become some dark goddess?” I asked the elder. “Elder?” He got up and left the room. “Mom?” I looked to her confused. “I will speak to him.” She left, I was still sitting on the floor with Damien’s arms around me. He picked me up and placed me on the bed to lay with him to get me to relax. I held tight to him not wanting to let in case he would disappear the moment he did. “It was a dream baby, that’s all it was.” He kissed my head rubbing my back and arms. I shook my head. “It was a vision of something to unfold that needs to be stopped. The moment you were killed I felt it in my heart, I felt Yaotl die. She is still with me but I felt the pain of it.” “You will not lose me. We will not lose each other. We are forever love.” He said holding me. I wish I knew it was true.
