Chapter 11

Vanessa

What he was doing felt amazing but I didn’t want to go to fast there was still a possibility this could end. I pushed against his chest so he would stop. He pulled back leaving both of us breathing hard. “I don’t want to go too fast. I know its not like we haven’t known each other our whole lives but I don’t want to rush it.” I fixed my bra and shirt. He rolled to the side and ran a hand down his face. He nodded. I could tell it was taking every ounce of control to not finish what we had started. “Will you stay for a while and let me at least hold you for a bit?” He asked, I couldn’t help but smile at him. I nodded. I took off my shoes and scooted over for him. He laid next to me. Facing each other he wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me closer. Our kegs intertwined like vines, one arm around my waist the other under my pillow. Both my hands laid on his chest as I pressed my face into the space between his neck and the bed. Breathing in nothing but his scent. When I wrapped one arm around him and pulled him just a bot closer, I could feel his smile. He kissed the top of my head. I know we were both convinced we wouldn’t fall asleep but we did. We woke up to my alarm going off as I reached in my back pocket to turn it off. He groaned, “What time is it?” I climbed over him and slipped my shoes back on. “You go back to sleep, I set the alarm so I could get home and sneak back in before anyone got up. There is still time before classes.” I said kissed his lips softly. I broke it off before it went farther. He tossed the covers off and said “Ok ill walk you out.” I looked at him and said “ill go the way I came in, besides we don’t want to wake the Alpha.” He took a second looked down at the tent he was pitching and smiled saying “you already did” I rolled my eyes and gave him one more kiss. I climbed out the window, carefully walked the ledge and jumped landing softly on my feet. Even though I’m a wolf I always felt like a panther when I did that. I looked up at him watching me and smiled. I took off to my truck parked not far and drove home. I called my brother and asked him to make sure his window was unlocked cause mine would be locked. I got home and sure enough it was open for me.

         Climbing in I thanked him and ran to my room to shower and change and get ready for school. I took off my shirt and Damien’s scent was still strong on me and smiled at it. After my shower I had no time to deal with my long thick hair like normal so in a ponytail it went where drying would make it end up curly. It had to do for today. Dressing and going downstairs My mom and Dad were there with Liam. I walked in and mom handed me a plate of food. I sat down and dad shifted uncomfortably. I picked up my plate and went to sit at the counter. When he looked at me I shrugged and said “The awkward in the air is thick and I’m not going to sit there with you uncomfortable. So I’ll sit here.” I loved my dad he was the only father I ever had. Since learning about my new ability he seemed to be on edge like I was going to use it to harm anyone but I wasn’t. He stood up and walked to me. He towered over me, I new in a fight if needed I could take him but he was also my dad I don’t know if I could actually hurt him. I stood my ground and met his gaze. He wrapped me in a hug and I relaxed. I for sure thought this was going to go bad. I hugged him back. He leaned down to eye level. “I maybe the Beta but you will always be my daughter first.” He said you could see the tears in his eye and I couldn’t help but let some out of mine. One more hug and I finished my food as he went to the packhouse to meet the alpha and discus pack business.

         Liam and I left and arrived at school. I took a min before getting out. He watched me. When he came to my door and opened it, he squatted down. He looked at me. “Everything will have changed, everyone will be whispering and be scared of me.” I said to him in a quite voice. “They were always scared of you.” “that was different. Now its cause I could hurt them with out even fighting.” “or you could protect them like you always have. There’s a good and bad to everything. Don’t freak out. Look at it like a fight, watch the punches and trick moves and roll with it like in training. You got this, besides you have me and Damien and even i***t Evan beside you.” He held out his hand and I stood. Immediately everyone stopped and looked. “I hope you’re right.” We started walking in and he put his arm around me in a brotherly fashion and also in a way to show everyone if he isn’t scared why should they.

Liam

I hated seeing everyone act this scared of my sister, Every one was but to a point, now they looked at her like a ticking time bomb. She could easily control everyone here and make them bend to her will but that wasn’t her nature. She would still protect others like she always has. We walked inside my arm still around her protecting her. Evan Damien and Megan were by her locker waiting for us. Megan ran up and hugged her and me at the same time. I was fond of Megan she was always nice. I gave her another hug with both my arms this time, of course Vanessa looked at me with her eyebrows raised. I winked at her and she gave me a questioning look. Yea Megan was my Mate but she feared the Elite so we decided to keep it quiet till later. Damien didn’t give her a second to turn around before he slammed her into a hug basically squeezing the life out of her. “Dude don’t kill my sister please, I still like her id like to keep her around for a while.” I said keeping my arm around Megan as her blush kept getting deeper. “Wow I have no one to hug. SOMEONE HUG ME PLEASE.” He yelled and everyone just looked at him and didn’t move or say anything. So I looked at Vanessa and Damien and at once we all tackled him earning us a scream. Laughing we all got up, as the Elite was making their way down the hallway. Megan shifted behind me holding my hand, I looked back at her and twirled her in front of me keeping my arms around her waist. “They wont hurt you or do anything, I promise. If they do, you know vanessa has your back. Remember they are terrified of her. I’m not going to keep this secret anymore.” I whispered in her ear. She looked at me with pleading eyes trying again move behind me. I smiled at her and shook my head. I leaned in and gave her a quick peck, As Vanessa and Damien’s jaws dropped. Evan shrugged. “About time you let it out in the open.” Leaning against his locker. “Well, How were you able to weasel him into your grasps, hmm Gamma? Must feel pretty special to be in the arms of the future Beta. Goddess knows you had you eyes on the Alpha for so long figured you’d move to second best.” Christine said. An elite who literally has been at me since 5th grade I think. I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arms tighter around her. “Keep it moving skank. There are other wolves around you could try to sink you teeth into, Or maybe you should stop and hope by the time your mate shows their scents will have worn off you and you seem like such an easy slut.” Vanessa moved forward. Megan had her hand on my thigh and gave it a light squeeze she was very dangerously close you my junk and I was trying to keep from think about her hand moving two inches over and rubbing me. Know was not the time to pop a boner. “Or what? You gonna mind control me and make me? Or fight me and whip my ass? I’m surprised you were granted a Mate, the moon goddess should have left you without one. You’re not worthy of  your wolf, even if it is only half.” She snarled at my sister. Her eyes shifted and it was her wolf. “The warriors tells me of your mate pup. You know in the eyes of the moon goddess and the wolf God if you are rejected you are left mateless and will never have pups.” She said. Christine scoffed “who would ever reject me?” The sinister smile that appeared on my sister face sent shivers up my spine. “Your mate. The warrior talks to the moon goddess and your mate is an Alpha of a neighboring pack. But he will sniff the other males you’ve been with and reject you for it. He wont feel any shame or regrets about it, The moon goddess already has his second chance mate picked out, and she destined to be the greatest Luna that pack has seen.” Her eyes shifted back as Christine went pale and scurried away but not before we heard the sobs.
