AVA I woke up on Leigh's chest. His skin was warm, and his heartbeat even. My cheek fit perfectly between the dips of his ribs. I could stay like this forever. For the first time in days, maybe weeks even, I'd actually slept deeply without nightmares. Sunlight spattered through the blinds, spilling lines across the room. The nostalgic London morning air filled my lungs. It was quiet. There was no movement above the walls. I reckoned everyone was still asleep, especially after the long day we had yesterday. I tilted my head, careful not to wake Leigh, but he was already looking down at me. A radiant smile took over my face. "Morning," I whispered, covering my morning breath. He smiled, fingers subtly tracing along my arm. "Did you sleep?" "Too well, I am afraid," I chuckled. "You?"
