“This is like invading my privacy, you already asked me the questions you had intended to ask, why are you still in my room?” she asked and Becca sighed loudly

“Olivia, I don’t know why you look so tensed and insisting we should go, I told you if you have nothing to hide then you have no reason to worry about anything” she said and then realized that two of Olivia stick on nails were missing which raised her suspicion because they found a nail which they didn’t know whom it belonged to and Olivia was lacking two of her stick on nails and surprisingly, they were of the same color just like what they found at the crime scene. “Wait, why don’t you have two of your nails, you only have three of them on your right hand?” She asked and that caught Olivia by surprise, she didn’t expect Becca to ask her that question, she remembered she had struggled with Ava and two of her nails got out in the process, she said she would remove them all or have them replaced but forgot, it seemed like she was running out of excuses and soon they would know she did it so she chuckled nervously before responding

“Well, you quite observant aren’t you? They got out while I was washing the previous day, I was actually thinking of going to the spa and get them replaced but I will go later in the evening” she said and smiled to cover up the look on her face, her heart was beating furiously across her chest and she wished they could have just talked with Ava maybe she wouldn’t have gone there while she was angry and things escalated and before she knew it she had killed, she strangled her best friend t death just because of a boy who didn’t even like her that much, Henry loved Ava but always respected the fact that Ava was his best friend’s girlfriend so, he always respected the boundaries until that day when things ran so fast and they slept together, they swore not tell anyone but seemed like the world was not going to let it be a secret between them because Ava was now dead and she his girl friend was the one that strangled her to death, talk of the unexpected

“Interesting, so Olivia I was going through some your things, sorry for invading your privacy but something caught my eye, Henry is your boyfriend right?” Detective Joanna asked and she nodded in agreement, “And you knew that Ava and Henry had something between them, he cheated on you with her and you go so furious when you learnt about the truth and it worsened when she told you she was pregnant but never told you who was responsible for her pregnancy, so when you learnt about it, you got so furious, so wanted to confront her for two days but decided against since you two had grown so close that you felt betrayed, so on this fateful day you said enough is enough, you decided to go ask her about it at night, you have a key to her house so you getting in the house was no problem to you, you opened the door, got in the house and to her room and since she doesn’t share the room with her sister and sleep on the far end away from her mom’s and sister’s, no one could hear you two conversing, the walls in that house are sound proof so it was an added advantage to you, and since there are no CCTV’s in the bedroom due to privacy, you had another added advantage, you know the house well, it is like you had all this captivated, the CCTV’s in the house were not working the time you went into the house up to the time you left the house, so you went in and confronted her about the pregnancy and if it was true she cheated on her boyfriend with your boyfriend and of course she denied and because you angry, yow too got into a heated and one thing led into another and you started fighting, she struggled and because you were too strong for her, she did not manage, so you overpowered her and strangled her to death but she just didn’t die without doing anything, she scratched you on your face before she you overpowered her which you have tried so hard to hide with the foundation on your face but it so clear, so when you realized you had f****d up, you panicked because your earlier plan was to give her abortion pills so she could miscarry but it failed and you ended up killing her and that scared you since you have never killed anyone in your life before had to leave the house, you hurriedly closed left the room and closed the door like nothing happened, went home quickly, passed through the window since your mom thought you were in your room sleeping because yr door was locked from inside, you got in your room, removed the clothes and stuffed them under your bed then slept like nothing happened, but unfortunately for you, you write everything in your diary so it was not hard finding the truth, Ms. Olivia Miller, you are under arrest for the murder of Ava Donald’s, you have the right to remain silent because anything you say can and will be used against you in the courts of law” Detective Joanna said to her and she remained glued on the ground, stupefied by the turn of events, she was handcuffed and led her to towards the awaiting van

“Olivia, where are you going?” her mom asked surprised she was not expecting to see her daughter being led to the awaiting car outside

“I am sorry Mrs. Miller but your daughter is under arrest for the murder of her friend Ava Donald’s “ Becca told her as they walked to the car and they drove off to the police station, just then the phone rang, it was a call from the police department

“Detective Becca speaking” she said over the phone, she was seated in the passenger’s seat with the culprit

“Hello, Detective Becca, we have Henry, Spencer’s best friend and Olivia supposed boyfriend, he just confessed that he is not related to the murder and that he think his girlfriend did kill he girl after she found out she was and he was responsible” he said over the phone

“Thank you Detective Baker, we have her under our custody, we are on our way to the station, and we just found out that she is the culprit responsible for the murder of the victim” she said

“Okay, Lieutenant Adams is waiting for you, he says that he has received a call and wants you two to work on a certain case” he said

“Okay we will be there in a few minutes” she said and hung up

“Which case again, I thought we could go on a break, we have just solved this case and he wants us to go on another case this boss is something else sometimes, he could just assign Detectives Baker and Oscar, I am sure they can do that pretty well that we can do” Detective Joanna lamented as she drove across the street to the police station

“The kind of work we signed up for, I am sure it something he can’t let Oscar and Baker work on, he keep saying that he trusts us more than them and I wonder why, anyway let us go and see what is it that he wants us to do, come one Ms. Olivia get down” she said as she opened the car door and Olivia got out and they led her inside the building

“Maybe it is because he is eyeing you, he has been asking you out for several times but you keep on declining and I think he is assigning you this because he likes you and nothing else” Detective Joanna said jokingly and Becca scoffed, she kind of expected that reply from her, her boss lieutenant Adams had been asking her out several times but she kept on declining, he sometimes offered to raise her position at the department if she agreed to his advances buts he declined saying she wanted to work hard and earn it but not getting the rank through favors from her boss, so she never accepted any of his advances and she knew if she told her dad about it, the boss could lose his job so she kept everything to herself and only shared it with her best friend Joanna

“Good work detectives, now, Detectives Joanna and Becca I would like to see you in my office, I just got a report from a certain victim and I would like you two to help me out solve this case” he said and went to his office leaving the four detectives looking at each other

“Feels good to be the ones chosen every time, you must be feeling good now, I don’t know why he doesn’t trust, anyway go check what he wants you two to do” Detective Oscar said and they all laughed as they two headed to his office
