I half-drag Dalton across the distance between the hunting lodge and the castle, my heart pounding the whole time. I have to get to Bree. If they leave here and go back to the empire, tracking her down will take a lot longer and I don’t want to be away from her a second longer than I have to be. I will find her eventually no matter what, I won’t stop until I do, but I’d rather do it now.
The castle is bustling with activity as we arrive. The insurgents swarm around the ground floor, the prince’s security team seems to have been subdued, and I see one of the men on my team, one of Carter’s men, giving orders. I try to catch his eye, but he pays no notice to us, nor does anyone else. We seem to be completely invisible as we walk through the room.
