William Finds Out

asper got home and found his dad cuddling with Arden on the couch and smiled a little as he took a picture. Doing it up nice and bringing out their features and the colors with a little photo editing, he posted it. Smiling, Jasper put his duffel down in the chair and left his dad with his girlfriend. Heading right back out of the house, Jasper was about to head to Alaia’s to see her. When suddenly he was looking in the eyes of a woman holding a gun, “What did you do to my son!” She shouted eyes crazy. Jasper held up her hands, “Ugh…your son?” But then Jasper recognized the same nose, lips, and hair color. The same wild look they sometimes got in their eyes. “M-Mrs. Shamus?” Jasper jumped as she pushed the gun in his face and told him to get inside. Jasper did so and as he stumbled in knocking somethings off the table by the door, his dad and Arden woke up. “That you son?” Jasper came in with Mrs. Shamus holding the gun to his head. William started to shoot up, but Arden calmed him, “Calm down. If she starts firing we’ll all die. Let’s be calm.” She whispered in his ear. William struggled with that as Mrs. Shamus told Jasper to sit down and watched him with a fidgety jump in her eyes. “You did something to my son, and I want you to admit it.” Pulling out her phone, Mrs. Shamus hit the recording app. “You’re going to admit to either hooking up with a dealer or something!” Jasper looked at Mrs. Shamus sadly, “Ma’am I understand you are in pain and you want someone to blame for it. But I didn’t hurt your son.” Pamala shook her head, her teeth grinding as the voices whispering in her head told her the truth. He was involved, he did do something, and she waved the gun wildly as she shouted, “Don’t lie!” Jasper jumped when the gun went off on accident and Pamala shot the mirror causing it shatter. Arden held on to William in fear as he tried to protect her and his son from the lunatic in his house. Pamala had been shocked at the gun going off but tried to make it seem like she was in control. She held the gun firmly in two hands now and shouted, “No one better f*****g move!” None them of them did, “Pamala, my son had nothing to do with your son dying! He overdosed.” Pamala shook her head, “No that wasn’t my baby! He was a good boy, he wouldn’t have gone that far.” Looking at Jasper, Pamala sneered, “He told me all about what you had everyone calling him, how you had him isolated since he came home.” Jasper showed no fear as Pamala put the gun to his head, “My son wasn’t a crackhead, he wouldn’t have shot up. Pills, weed, I knew about all of it. But he never did the hard stuff.” Jasper kept calm as he met her eyes, “I never encourage anyone to say anything about Donny. And I’m sorry he was into any of it, but I wasn’t. I wouldn’t have known a way to hurt him by going that method. I know nothing about drugs, and I don’t know anyone who does them.”  Pamala sniffled nastily as her pale skin looked pasty and sweaty. Under her lumpy brown sweater, and the dirty jeans, paired with mitch match sneakers and uncombed hair, Pamala looked unraveled. “Mrs. Shamus…” Jasper pleaded, but Pamala hit him over the head with the gun making his head gush as she shouted, “S-stop lying to me!” She kept shouting, “You’re lying, you’re lying, you’re lying!” William started to stand to calm her down but, Pamala shot in his direction and Jasper cried out as he watched in horror. It was seconds later they all watched Arden fall to the floor holding her stomach. Bleeding, she gasped out as she looked around. Jasper and William started to move to help her, but then Pamala held the gun at them threatening, “I will shoot you both!” She shouted. William cried as he pleaded, “Pam please. My son wasn’t even in town when your boy went missing! He didn’t know about it until he came home!” Pamala shook her head humming as she grinded her teeth, “No, no he knows, he knows and he’s lying! He did something to my Donny.” Hitting record, Pamala held the gun at Jasper, “Now confess or I’ll kill you and your dad.” Jasper was sure she would. But he also knew she was out of her mind with grief.  And didn’t seem to be that handy with her gun. So as he wiped the blood out of his right eye as his forehead throbbed. Jasper looked at Pamala closely, at her loose grip on the gun, to her unbalanced stance. Smiling, Jasper admitted, “I didn’t like your son ma’am. But I’m not a murderer.” And then he kicked her legs out from under her and snatched the gun from her hand. Pamala cried out as her trigger finger got caught for a moment and broke as Jasper took the gun. Pamala held her hand as she stumbled back wide eyed. Looking around wild like a caged animal, Pamala was mumbling something too low for anyone to hear. But Jasper and William went to pay attention to Arden. Jasper could tell she was no longer bleeding unlike his dad who was panicking because she wasn’t moving. Crying as he begged her to be okay, William kept trying to get his phone to work, but covered in Arden’s blood, it seemed to be refusing to spite him. Pamala suddenly had the bright idea to charge at Jasper and Jasper was sure he would cold c**k her. But then Arden was off the floor and had Pamala on the ground crying as she held her throat. Not touching the baton, Arden kicked it out of her reach and William could do nothing but watch in horror. Arden bit down on Pamala’s neck savagely and after feeding from her, dropped her to the ground again. Holding her shirt, both father and son watched the bullet fall out of her stomach before looking as she slowly looked at them. Arden nervously bit her bottom lip as she casually told them, “I hate getting shot. It’s such a hassle to recover from.” And as Pamala laid blathering on the floor like a loon, William looked for ten more seconds at the bloody bullet that’d come from his girlfriend’s stomach. And then he was on the ground looking up at the ceiling as the sound of police cars filled the house.
