Jasper and Alaia were holding hands as they walked down the hall, it was almost Halloween, and they were making plans. “So, my place? My dad is going out of town for work.” Jasper told her as he proposed, “Scary movie binge on my couch? All the candy and junk we could desire, and maybe a few tricks and treats of our own.” He whispered the last part in her ear making her blush.
Kissing him, Alaia pulled him along to homeroom, “Sounds perfect. I love Halloween.” Jasper grinned, “Yeah and being in a town called Devil’s Horns? It makes it even better or worse somehow.” Alaia giggled as she wondered, “Do you guys take advantage?”
Jasper nodded eagerly, “Oh hell yeah! We have a reputation for being the scariest town to come to on Halloween because we play pranks and stuff on tourist. It’s actually become a really good festival.”
Alaia looked at Jasper eagerly, “Wait that sounds like fun!” Jasper nodded and asked, “So maybe we’ll stop in for a little bit and get some pumpkin spice lattes? Few caramel apples, ride the rides through the corn field, and there’s a Ferris Wheel and haunted house.”
Just as Alaia was fixing her mouth to agree, Donny appeared, “Oh you’re so lame Jasper.” He looked at Alaia with a smug smirk, “A girl like this deserves-.” Suddenly Donny couldn’t speak because Jasper had punched him in the throat. Donny held his throat in surprise as Alaia’s eyes widened as Jasper told Donny darkly, “I distinctly remember telling you to never approach her again. Next time, I’m not stopping until I see blood.”
Donny was shaken as Jasper’s eyes seemed to darken with fury. And for a moment Donny was sure Jasper was capable of not only drawing blood, but murder. Watching Alaia pull Jasper along before a teacher appeared everyone smiled at him as Donny bent over livid.
Jasper felt shaken when he was away from Donny. He didn’t know what was going on with him, just that it was getting worse and he couldn’t stop it. “Baby what’s wrong?” Alaia whispered as she held Jasper’s trembling hands.
“I don’t know. It’s just now every time I see him and I know he’s trying to approach you, talk to you. It makes me blood boil like lava, and I don’t hesitate to hurt him or threaten him. And I swear Alaia that’s not me!” Jasper looked at her desperately, “I would never hurt you.”
Alaia smiled a little not needing to be told that, “Oh I have no doubt on that.” Jasper breathed out and Alaia laid her head on his chest, “Please stop picking fights on my behalf though.” She pleaded. Jasper started to refuse but Alaia wrapped her arms around his neck, “I find it really hot you want to be my knight in shining armor. But I need you to come to school, and I’d hate to be the reason you get expelled.”
Jasper slowly nodded and Alaia stroked his jaw lovingly, “I can take care of myself. And that walking human disease doesn’t scare me, I can punch him in the throat myself if need be.”
Jasper grinned, “Well if you’re sure on that little lady.” Alaia grinned, “Positive.” Kissing Jasper as they stood in the hall for a moment, both jumped when the bell rang. “f**k we’re late.” Alaia gasped pulling a laughing Jasper down the hall.
