"Currently, there seems to be nothing unusual. Apart from his family background not being very good, he appears to be innocent and clean."
Seraphina fell silent for a moment, her brow furrowing slightly. I could sense her unease.
"But I have this nagging feeling about him," she said slowly. "Something about Caden Vance feels too deliberate. His rapid progress with Talia... it seems driven by some hidden purpose."
I nodded, understanding her concern. People trying to climb the social ladder by latching onto my family was nothing new. The Blackwood name attracted all sorts of opportunists.
"I'll have Director Alistair Kane investigate him more deeply," I promised. "Leave no detail unturned."
