I chatted with my mom all, through the night as we watched until late at night when we both retired to bed.
The following day was on Sunday and my family being so religious we all headed to church after church, I knew I had to go back to my place and since I didn’t want to inconvenience my father I asked him to send the car over to New York, my family drove me to the airport and after bidding them goodbye I went to check-in.
“Sorry ma’am your ticket was upgraded.” The air hostess said and I stared at her confused.
“What do you mean by my ticket was upgraded, I booked an economy class?” I asked again and then it hit me, Reece had something to do with it, I don’t know why he was feeling so entitled to make decisions on my behalf, I was still not understanding but I guess I had to work with it until I got to New York and set some boundaries.
“Okay thank you, so where I’m I to go?”
“I will direct you to your respective seat.” She said and I followed her, I had four hours of being on the plane, I couldn’t wait to get to my house and rest and when I got to the airport I was surprised to find Reece waiting for me.
“What are you doing here?”
“I was waiting for you; I figured out that I could drive you home.”
“Oh, really and how did you know the time my flight was going to arrive, you amaze me sometimes.”
“I just know because you told me, now are you going to get into the car or are you going to stand there and complain the whole evening, come on get in I will drive you home.” He said I had no otherwise than to just get into the car, I had a long flight and the last thing I wanted was to start moving around looking for a cab, I got in the car and he started driving.
“So why did you change my flight to a first class?” I asked after I was settled in the passenger’s seat and he just smiled as he drove through the busy street.
“I don’t know I just did it because I thought you deserved it, why are you even complaining?”
“Because I looked like a total clown the whole time, I didn’t feel like I even belonged there, people were staring at me like I had just descended from hell,” I added and he burst into a laugh.
“Wait you don’t mean that, do you?”
“Of course I mean it, I looked like a clown the whole time, and maybe they thought I was lost.”
“You joke way too much, no one cares about anyone in first class, people mind their own business, maybe you just felt like you don’t belong there but you do, anyway that should not be a problem, you know you will get used to it eventually.”
“Yeah easier said than done but the next time you want to do something ask me before doing your changes, you should have consulted me first,” I said and he stared at me for a few seconds then shook his head.
“Are you seriously mad that I changed your flight to first class, I thought that was going to make you happy?”
“No I am sorry it didn’t make me happy, I mean you don’t know me that much what makes you think that you know what makes me happy?”
“Hey, I am sorry I didn’t mean to make you sad or mad, my intention was just to make you feel comfortable during your flight, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, I am sorry.” He said and for a minute I felt sorry for him but I didn’t want to show it to him.
“It is okay, don’t worry about it I got it, it is in the past now, so how have you been?”
“Been good, I just missed you and I thought I would personally pick you up from the airport, I hope you are not mad at that too?”
“Oh no don’t worry about that, I am good, I shouldn’t have yapped at you, I am sorry.”
“No it is okay, I am okay,” I said and leaned back on the seat.
REECE WALKER
I don’t know what I started feeling after I met her at the club, I know I had interacted with her way back in a senior year but I didn’t like her back then until I saw her at the club with her long-term friend Keasha and after the steamy night we had, I just wanted to be with her and spend most of the time with her.
Don’t get me wrong but I had since stopped sleeping around, it was just so hard to concentrate on doing anything without seeing her ad spending time with her, she made me chat with her all night long something I was not used to doing.
And when she said she was travelling back into town the following day, I wanted to make her comfortable so I called someone I knew from the airport and everything was fixed but I didn’t expect her to get mad at it, I thought it was going to make her happy but I guess I was wrong about it, I just sucked it through as I drove to her place, she leaned back and fell asleep on the seat, she was wearing some sort romper short that showed her thighs, I kept stealing glances at her thighs and I just could not control my little man down there.
I just wanted to stop the car and take her from the back of the car but I knew that was not what she would like or entertain so I exercised some patience, and just as I was driving my phone vibrated, I pressed the receive button since it was on Bluetooth.
“Hello Reece, how are you doing?”
“I am good, what do you want?” I asked wishing she couldn’t have called in the first place.
Amber was not the type of girl to give up and neither did she listen to anyone for that matter, I had been friends with her for long and since I wanted nothing serious with anyone, we became good friends and eventually friends with benefits but she was taking it all like we were in a relationship, always bossing me around and wanting to meet every other time.
“Are you seriously asking me that question?”
“Yes, what do you want?”
“We had plans Reece and now you want to act like you know nothing about it, what is wrong with you”
“I should be asking you the same thing, what is with you, I thought I told you that I will call you once I am ready to see you, you don’t get to call m and order me around, that was the agreement, and so what is it again?”
“I know why you are trying so hard to avoid me, is it because of that stupid girl, what did she give you that you don’t get from me?”
“I don’t know why you are suddenly so cold at me but I just wanted to check on you and see if you are okay, you haven’t been answering my calls and I thought I should call and check up on you but I think you are busy with that b***h yet again.” She said and I sighed as I initiated the last corner to her street.
“You are the b***h here, I don’t know what is wrong with you but I want you to stop calling me and stay out of my business, I will call you when I need you Amber don’t spoil or ruin my evening, I will call you in case I need you.”
“Oh, so you will call me when you need me huh? When you need s*x, is that it?”
“I don’t want to argue with you but I think you know that it was our initial plan and I think you should respect my privacy or are you having feelings for me? Why are you suddenly so jealous about my meeting with Kristen and you have f****d a lot more guys than me?” I asked and she sighed deeply on the other end, I also noticed that Kristen was up and listening keenly to our conversation, I cursed internally because I didn’t want her to hear any of it.
“Okay I know what I will do but just so you know I am at your place and I am waiting for you, I am not leaving here until I talk to you physically.” She said and I sighed.
“Okay, whatever Amber, can I go now?”
“Yeah sure and don’t forget that I am waiting for you and don’t stay too long with that b***h because I know you are with her and that is why you have been ignoring me.” She said and hung up.
“We are here,” I announced as I pulled in front of her apartment and she silently unbuckled, took her backpack and opened the door
“Can I walk you in?” I asked and she smiled and then turned to look at me with a sly smile on her face.
“You heard her, she is waiting for you at your place, maybe tonight you will get a nice bang, goodnight Reece.” She said and banged the door then walked towards her apartment, I watched as she opened the door and disappeared into the house, I banged on the wheel and cursed, I started the car and drove to my place, and maybe it was time for me to set the record straight with Amber.
