It looked as though Zoey was mind-linking with someone, but she kept that dazed look for so long, I started to worry that something may be wrong. To keep myself from panicking, I decided to give myself a momentary distraction and opened my mind-link with Jace.
‘I don’t know where you are right now, but I need you at the cabin! Pronto!’ I demanded.
‘Is everything okay?’ Jace immediately mind-linked back.
‘No! Get here now!’ I demanded before cutting the link with Jace and opening the mind link I shared with Mira, ‘Hey, cuz, s**t is going down at the cabin. Get here right away!’
‘On my way,’ Mira responded with haste before cutting the link.
Mira had never been one to waste time and neither had Jace, so I knew they would both get here as fast as they could.
