AXEL Dan drove like a madman to get back to the pack. As we got closer, the stench of rogues filled the air. Mace was standing to attention. He wanted out. “STOP,” I shouted, which made Dan skid to a halt. “We will get out here and go through the forest; we can head to the pack house in that direction and hopefully surprise a few along the way.” Dixon and Dan nodded. We all climbed out of the car and looked around. Screaming could be heard around the pack. I growled. I hated to hear my pack members in such a state. Mace was ready to kill anything that got in his way. “SHIFT,” I shouted to them as Mace took over and shifted, shredding all my clothes. I wasn’t in the mood to take them off. I needed to be in there to protect my pack. Mace shook out his fur and looked back at Dixon
