his command

Charlette’s P.O.V. (Continued) I blinked a few times, trying to process what he just asked. He closed his eyes again, as if he said nothing to me. The indifferent expression on his face made me feel as if I just had an hallucination, but his copy in front of me was proof of what he asked. “Charlette, Is there any problem?” I flinched harder when Mr. Freemun suddenly called my name coldly. I looked and gulped hard in fear when I saw him looking at me with a raised brow. “No… no, Mr. Freemun… I understand the problem,” I immediately replied to him, stammering a little, still trying to control my dizziness. He was about to say something when the bell rang. I couldn’t tell how many times I thanked Heaven for ringing the bell at the right time. Mr. Freemun was one of those teachers who didn’t leave any opportunity to humiliate a student, and I was sure that he was about to ask me to come forward and explained that problem on the board, which was impossible for me because my mind was completely occupied by the boy sitting next to me. I smiled sheepishly to Mr. Freemun and immediately put my notebook back inside my bag. I looked at Emmanuel’s notebook which was still on the desk, but who the hell did he think he was to command to do his work? Okay, I agree that he is really handsome…. I mean handsome like Calvin Klein’s model, and with his sturdy physique, he could be compared with the Greek gods, but please…. It doesn’t make him a god okay.... I pulled my bag on my shoulder and walked to Mona whose eyes were still glued on Emanuel. Anyone could see hearts streaming out of her eyes, and drool at the corner of her mouth. “Back to the earth, Mona.” I grumbled while taking her arm. “What…. What are you doing?” she protested, but gasped aloud, stopping abruptly, making me fell backward a little. “What the f**k?” I yelled and looked behind me, but my eyes also popped out of their sockets when I saw Emanuel standing up there. His hazel-green eyes still had that cold expression, his body emanating the aura of "I dare you to approach me", but his eyes were on us. Like, literally on us… I felt all the tiny hair on my nape stand up because of the chill coming to us through his eyes. His one hand, holding the strap of his bag, and other hand thrust inside his pocket. Through the fabric of his half-sleeves, his muscles flexing, and that slow and steady fall and rise of his chest. God! Help me!!!!!!! He tilted his head a little, and I snapped out of my trance. “He… he is looking at me, Char. God!” Mona muttered excitedly, but her voice was lowered than a whisper. She suddenly straightened her body, bumping the back of her head on my nose, making me wince in pain. “What the f**k, Mona?” I yelled at her while rubbing my nose, but my best friend had all her attention to that crush of hers. It hurts that she was ignoring me more than the pain in my nose, but I can’t actually blame her for that. I almost stopped breathing while straightening my back when Emanuel crossed us, but stopped right in front of me. “Your notebook.” He asked me nonchalantly, and I blinked dumbfounded. He didn’t ask again, but continued staring at me. “He is asking you for your notebook, dummy. What are you doing?” Mona smacked the back of my head while yelling at me in whispers. I wanted to glare at her for hitting me again, but as if my body had its own mind as I robotically removed my bag from my shoulder, and opened it to get my math notebook for him. He took it and, without saying a word, walked away. I craned my neck in his direction, following his back until he get out of the room. “OMG! He asked you for your notebook, Char… he asked you.” Mona squealed, squeezing my arm so hard that I winced in pain again, and glared hard at her. “Hey, Char, Mona…. What are you still doing in class? Aren’t you going to chemistry class?” Grace, another classmate, yelled from the door and my eyes widened in horror. “Crap.” I muttered and ran towards the door. I needed to go back to my locker first to get my stuff for chemistry class, but I had already wasted so much time here. “S**t.” Mona also cursed behind me as we ran out of the class to go to the lockers first. What a day it was that I was just running and running all the time. “That’s why, I always said that boys are nothing but bad news. See ourselves now. We succeeded in surviving one disaster and now put ourselves in another.” Maya grumbled while panting heavily, running a little behind me. “It was because of you. It was you who stopped when I tried to pull you away.” I blamed her angrily, and she pouted, looking a little aggrieved. “You know that I have a great crush on him, and he suddenly looked at me.” She replied sheepishly, but it came out a harsh panting, as Mona was never a good runner. “But why did he ask you for your notebook, and you even give it to him,” she asked curiously, and I rolled my eyes angrily. “Just like you… I also have a great crush on him, and my heart and mind acted on their own as soon as he spoke to me.” I replied to her in a flat voice, panting lightly while running at her pace. “Right,” she grinned, and I felt like smacking the back of her head this time. I once again wished to have a speed like superhero Flash so that I could complete this run in no seconds and reach the next class before they decided to ring it for the next class. Still, in my words, at the speed of lightening, I dashed to my locker, opened it, threw everything from my bag inside the locker, and took what I needed for the next two classes and locked it again with a bang before running towards the stairs again to get in the chemistry class on time. Mona was right behind us, but she was now panting aloud. I didn’t stop for her though, as I needed to save my a*s first before worrying about her. I dashed inside the class and almost jumped on my seat, threw my bag under the table, and grinned widely when the bell rang at the same time. Maya entered in the class at the same time as the bell rang, almost falling to the ground because of how hard she was panting now. She had her right hand resting on the door, left hand on her chest, leaning forward a little while panting heavily, and glaring at me. I didn’t feel guilty for leaving her behind though. I asked her so many times to start exercising, but she never listened to me. Served her better. I rolled my eyes when both Adam and Natalie also entered behind her. Adam's hand wrapped her waist as if she were a trophy to show off. I forgot that Adam and Natalie were also in this class. I closed my eyes and let myself calm down first. I heard someone pulling the stool beside me after some time, but I didn’t care to open my eyes. Other than Mona, no one sat beside me in this class. “Give me the water.” I asked her in a low voice, and hoarse voice, and slowly raised my hand towards her. I patted my chest with my left hand to calm my breathing down. I grabbed the bottle she gave me, and drank a full mouth, but immediately felt like spiting the whole content out of my mouth when a weird taste hit my taste buds. I managed to gulp it down somehow though. I opened my eyes and looked at the content of the water bottle, which was obviously not water. “What the f**k is this, Mona? Since when you.” I paused and looked at the person sitting beside me in a daze. His cold hazel-eyes were now once again locked with mine. There was a little change in his gaze this time though. "Are you done?" he asked coldly, and I blinked dumbly. He tilted his head again, his signature tilt, while glancing at something. I followed his gaze dumbly and saw the water bottle in my hand. I craned my neck towards him once again, still in a daze. "Mine," he pointed towards the bottle impatiently. My heart skipped a beat the way he spoke the word MINE. I felt as if millions of butterflies fluttered at the same time in my lower belly. "O yeah." I muttered while giving the bottle back to him, still in a daze. "Okay, everyone.... let's resume where we left the day before yesterday." I snapped out of my daze when the teacher's loud and shrill voice almost burst my eardrums, making me flinch a little too. "What the hell? When did he come into the class and why is he sitting with me again?" I screamed in my heart while looking for my bag everywhere around me, but couldn't find it. "Near your feet," he grumbled, and I immediately looked down there. "O yeah." I chirped and immediately leaned down, only to bump my forehead at the edge of the desk, wincing in pain. I heard a scoff beside me, making my cheeks flush in embarrassment. I should have seen my horoscope today before leaving the house. Why was I embarrassing myself in front of my biggest crush so much? I took the bag and immediately pulled it up while rubbing my forehead with my left hand. Before I could try to open my bag, it was snatched, baffling m in the process.
