missed his entry

Charlette’s P.O.V. “I really hate you, Char. Because of you, I missed the iconic entry of my prince charming.” Mona complained angrily while running with me. I frowned and moved my face a little towards her to see her face. We were now running back to our class. Our homeroom teacher suddenly called me to meet her in the teacher's office before when the class was about to start. Now we were already late for almost fifteen minutes for class. However, Mrs. Neelie Rudwig, our homeroom teacher, told us that she had already informed our math teacher, we were still worried to be scolded by him. “Emanuel’s entry into the class, duh.” She explained while rolling her eyes and my confusion deepened. “Aaahhhh…. Didn’t you watch dramas?” she asked me and I bobbed my head in affirmation. “Whenever the male lead of high school dramas enters the scene, they first zoom in on his shining school shoes, then slowly the camera go up, showing his sturdy legs, and yummy thighs.” I also gulped hard, my mind creating so many images in my mind according to her description. “Then… oooohhhhh.. that …. Let that part censored.” She muttered and I giggled, clearly understanding which part. “Then… his fine waist covered under that tight fabric of his shirt, then his muscular and fit chest, slender neck, a mouth-watering roll of his adams apple, his chiselled jaw, the full or thing kissable lips.” She paused and gulped hard. At the same time, I also gulped a mouthful of saliva and looked at her. We both shared a look and then burst into laughter. “You are h*rny, Maya.” I teased her, bumping my shoulder into her while running. “So did you,” she cooed, and we laughed again. Mona never had a boyfriend and mine was an a**hole. And to be honest, with Adam, I never thought about taking our relationship to the second level. Now, I am glad that we were still in the friendzone when he decided to go with Natalie. As the current period was still going on, the corridors were deserted, and it made us easier to run to our classroom. We got some glares from the teachers along our way because of our bickering and occasional laughing but we juts gave them an apologetic bow and then giggled again while talking about the male lead’s entry in a hushed tone. “Finally.” I breathed out when we reached our classroom. By now, both of us were breathless because we ran on the stairs too. “Mona.” I shrieked in panic when Mona suddenly stumbled hard and lost her balance. I immediately lunged at her, and succeeded in grabbing her arm, and pulled her up. It happened right at the door of the class. Before I could pull back, she had pushed the door with such a force that it seemed that we banged opened the door instead of knocking. The door opened with a bang when it collided with the wall. I immediately looked at the teacher in panic, and my heart sank as soon as my eyes met his cold brown eyes. “Mr. Freemun, she was about to fall,” I immediately defended ourselves in panic, holding Mona tightly in my embrace. She trembled a little while trying to catch her breath. “Th… thanks, Char.” She mumbled while trying to get back on her feet, still holding my hand tightly. Mr. Freemun just glared hard at us and then jerked his head, signalling us to get inside. We both immediately hurried inside the classroom. I frowned when I saw someone else sitting on my seat. She smiled sheepishly, holding my bags towards me. I wanted to ask her to go back to her seat, but Mr. Freemun cleared his throat dangerously. I still gave her a questioning look but took my bag and decided to go to her seat first in order to not to get any scolding from Mr. Freemun. I immediately jogged at the back of the class as she was a back bencher. It’s not like that I had any grudge against back bencher. I was only confused why she suddenly decided to sit at my seat in the front row, and above all, in Mr. Freemun’s class. I blinked hard while looking at the boy sitting next to her seat. He had his eyes closed, but I knew him very well. My heart almost skipped so many beats in a row when my eyes fell on his handsome face. That square-shaped face with sharp jawline, roman nose, well-defined thick brows, almost perfect lips and slight bangs on his board forehead of his platinum blonde hair. I understood why she changed seats with mine. His cold demeanour was enough to make me feel chill all over my body, but I had no choice but to sit next to him. I slowly put my bag on the desk and sat down very slowly, still contemplating whether I should look for another seat or to sit there. One look from Mr. Freemun and I sat down immediately. No wonder he was still looking at me instead of resuming explaining the problem that he was writing on the board. I gulped hard, trying to keep myself calm when my heart was racing a marathon in my chest. I glanced at Mona who was now looking at me with a wide-opened mouth in shock. “Do you want me to come to you and get your notebook out of your bag for you, Charlette?” Mr. Freemun asked me in a sarcastic and cold voice. “No…. Mr. Freemun.” I mumbled and immediately took my notebook out of my bag, but my hands were now shaking so badly that I almost dropped the notebook once. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down. “Calm down, Char. He is just a human being, not a monster or God.” I comforted myself in my heart, but I was still freaking out. I immediately started noting down the problem in my notebook, trying to distract myself from not peeking at him once again. He still had his eyes closed as if he was meditating. Now I got it why was Mr. Freemun so angry? This wasn’t about us banging the door, but because the boy sitting beside me was not paying attention to his teaching. It wasn't winter, and yet I was having goosebumps all over my body because of his cold aura. No wonder Lacey switched seats with me. She was not only a backbencher but also very timid by nature. She would have passed out by now if she had stayed here. My hands were still shaking, but soon I got my rhythm, fully concentrating in understanding the problem that Mr. Freemun was explaining to us. Suddenly another notebook appeared in front of me. "Copy it for me too." his cold voice sent a chill through my spine. I immediately glanced at him, and sucked in a breath when my eyes met his cold but beautiful hazel-green eyes in a little dark shade.
