Flashback
“Hey! Zany, stop!” Leo shouted from behind.
Soon after hearing his voice, Zaiden increased his pace, gripping his bag pack tight. He was too scared to face Leo. So he was trying his best to get away from him.
But Leo ran after him and in the second he caught him. Standing in front of him, Leo glared at him. Zaiden lowered his head and tried to walk away but Leo kept on blocking his way. After a few useless attempts to get away from him, Zaiden stood giving up. He kept on lowering his head too scared to meet his eyes.
Bending a little Leo glanced up at his face. “Do you really think you can get away from me this easily?” he questioned in a cold tone.
Zaiden nodded first nervously but hastily shook his head right to left.
“Then why did you dare to run away from me?” he questioned tucking his hands in his pocket.
“I… I didn’t hear you!” he stammered.
“Are you sure?” He raised his brows.
He nodded, still not meeting his eyes.
“Fine, then!” He stood straight and continued, “I am thirsty running after you so, go and get me something to drink.”
“Can… Can you please let me go for today? I… I am getting late for my class. My professor is very strict...” Zaiden requested, stammering
Leo gripped his chin and pulled up his face. “What did you say?”
Hearing his cold tone, chills ran down his spine. “I…”
“Your class can wait but not my thirst. If you had not run away from me, I wouldn't have to run after you and get thirsty. So, literally, it is your fault. So, go and get me something to drink,” he commanded coldly, folding his arms.
Gulping hard, Zaiden nodded his head. He turned around and was about to walk, but Leo grabbed his bag.
“Let me keep your bag until you return. Or else you might fool me and run away,” he said, pulling his bag.
Leaving his bag behind, Zaiden ran towards the cafeteria to get him water. Seeing him running, Leo smirked. Then he started to fill his bag with stones.
After a while, Zaiden ran back to him with a bottle of water. Panting he passed it to Leo. And shortly after getting his normal breath, he was about to pick up his bag from the ground but Leo stopped him. Zaiden glanced at him in surprise.
“Um! I want juice, not water,” he mumbled with grinning.
“But you told me to bring water,” Zaiden replied, restraining his anger.
“Really? Did I?” scratching the corner of his forehead, he mumbled, “I remember telling you to bring something to drink. Anyway, I want to drink juice. So go and get it for me.”
“But I am…”
Suddenly Leo grabbed his collar, and threatened, “I said go and get me a juice.”
Trembling in fear Zaiden nodded his head more than twice. He has then shoved away.
“Hurry up, I have a class to attend,” commanded Leo, planting his hands on his hip.
Clenching his fist, Zaiden turned around and walked away. After he came back with a bottle of juice, he handed it to Leo. When he tried to grab his bag, he was astounded, finding it heavy to lift. Unzipping it when he looked in anger simmered inside. He glanced at Leo with his big eyes.
“A pile of gifts for serving me,” Leo winked and walked away, throwing the bottle in the air and catching it.
A sudden ring on his phone brought Leo back to the present from his past. Recalling how he used to bully Zaiden as Emma bullied him, he was regretting it.
“If I had not done those things to him then we would probably be on good terms today. It is not his fault,” he mumbled to himself.
Then inhaling deeply, nonchalantly, he turned towards his phone which was still ringing.
“Hello!” he said, pressing the phone against his ear.
“Leo, my hero, how are you? Are you out of your hangover or not?”
“Huh?” Hearing polite words from his best friend, Leo was not able to believe it. He glanced at the screen to check if it was truly Oscar.
“Oscar? Is that really you? How come you are talking this politely? Did something happen last night after I passed out?” Leo inquired out of astonishment.
“Don’t you remember anything?” Oscar questioned.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Leo replied, “no I don’t. Just tell me.”
“When I took your call a stranger asked for the address and I sent it to him. Then he came to pick you up.”
“What?” Leo’s eyes widened. “You sent me off with a stranger?”
“No, I didn’t,” he refused at once.
“Then you just said…”
“Hear me out first…” Oscar mumbled in annoyance.
“Fine, go ahead.” Leo rubbed his forehead.
“So the stranger showed up in a mask and cap. When he dragged you out, I followed behind trying to stop him. I was fully determined that I was not letting you get harmed by that person. But I was dumbfounded when that stranger pulled down the mask. Guess who it was?”
“Who?”
“Zaiden Watson, the superstar,” with excitement mixed in his tone, Oscar announced.
“What? Zany came to pick me up?” He was dumbfounded. “No wonder he was at my house last night and this morning,” he mused.
“Yes, he…” Oscar paused, “wait! who?”
“I mean Zaiden. He came to pick me up? He brought me home?”
“Yeah, he did… and I called you to ask how the hell did he show up to drive you home.”
In disappointment, he replied, “You sent him the address and let him drive me home and now you are asking me that question? Aren’t you a little bit concerned about your best friend? What if something had happened to me?”
“What would happen? He is a superstar. There was no chance of it. Also, if anything would happen then I would fight for you and in the meantime get his autograph.” Oscar chuckled.
“Seriously?” Leo rolled his eyes but the moment his eyes fell on the clock, he winched. “God it is already half-past nine. s**t!”
“Why?” Oscar questioned.
“I will talk to you later, I need to go.” Leo hung up the call and rushed towards the washroom.
After taking a quick shower, Leo got dressed in a black suit prepared by Zaiden and rushed out of his apartment dragging his luggage.
He tried to take a cab but was not able to get one. After trying numerous times finally he was able to get one and drive towards the airport.
Soon after he got to the airport he rushed in. Looking around the bustling crowd it was hard for him to find Zaiden. He pulled out his cell phone to call but found it running out of battery.
“s**t!” he cursed looking around.
After thinking for a while, suddenly his mind was enlightened with the idea of seeing the security guard. With a wide grin appearing on his face, he made his way towards the guard.
In a while, an announcement echoed around the whole airport. “Mr. Zany, your bully is here for your service. Wherever you are, come and get him.”
