_Logan's POV_ Her eyes slowly opened, and she blinked, looking around the room. When her gaze finally landed on me, she gave me a weak smile. “Logan…” she whispered, her voice soft and raspy. I couldn’t hold back the emotion that rushed through me. I leaned down, pressing my forehead against hers. “You’re okay,” I whispered. “You’re really okay.” She nodded, her eyes closing again, but she squeezed my hand gently. “I’m sorry,” she whispered. “I didn’t mean to scare you.” I chuckled softly, though my voice was still thick with emotion. “You don’t have to apologize,” I said. “Just… don’t do that to me again, okay?” She smiled weakly and whispered, “I’ll try not to.” I kissed her forehead, the warmth of her skin against my lips calming the storm of fear that had been raging inside me.
