Chapter 02

Leticia beamed with joy as she received her wages after her shift. Stepping out of the office, she walked towards the exit of the club, reaching the parking lot.

"I'll buy Ruoxie some delicious food and even a blanket," she whispered, clutching the money tightly.

"F*ck off!"

Leticia froze, recognizing the familiar figure not too far from her. She saw the guy who saved her earlier, now being aggressively kissed by a woman.

"Did he take drugs?" she muttered. The woman was stunned by the audacity of the female escort she'd seen earlier in the room.

She wanted to just leave and let them be, but she remembered the guy saving her. If he hadn't, she would've lost her job without getting paid.

Leticia, annoyed, turned back and walked towards the female escort, pulling her away from the guy.

"What are you doing?" the female escort asked. Leticia rolled her eyes, saying the escort had used drugs to bring the guy home.

"If you know what's good for you, don't interfere!"

The female escort was about to walk past Leticia when the girl grabbed her again, this time slamming her against the car door. The escort crashed to the ground, groaning.

She gasped, seeing blood on her head. The escort looked up, asking if Leticia had gone crazy.

"I'm not crazy yet, but if you don't leave in three seconds, I'll slam this door and crush your neck," Leticia said with a smile. The woman turned pale and ran.

As Leticia turned to ask if the guy was okay, he grabbed her cheek and kissed her on the lips. Leticia's eyes widened, pushing the guy away.

Weakened, the guy fell to the ground, his glasses falling off. Leticia shouted "Pervert!"

The guy landed on the ground, his glasses falling off. He removed his necktie, his face contorted in pain.

Leticia turned to leave, wanting to just forget about the guy. She didn't know him and had already saved him once.

She had taken four steps when she heard the guy groaning in pain and heat.

"Bullshit!"

Leticia cursed under her breath, turning back. She approached the guy, grabbing his head to lift it.

"Don't regret this, okay? I'm just helping you," Leticia said with furrowed brows, helping the guy stand.

They walked towards the open car and laid the guy down on the backseat. Leticia leaned over the guy, slowly unbuttoning her waitress uniform.

Leticia swallowed nervously, staring at the handsome face of the guy who was now giving her small kisses on her lips, then down her neck.

She never imagined she'd lose her first time this way.

I woke up in the morning. I sat up and immediately buttoned my clothes.

"This guy... I can't believe his stamina. It lasted until dawn, and my body aches so bad."

I looked at the guy, still asleep, his head resting against the window. I just stared, poker-faced.

"If you weren't so handsome, I'd think twice about helping you," I muttered irritably, opening the car door.

I stepped out, then stepped on something. I picked up the wallet and opened it. My eyes sparkled when I saw the money inside.

"Okay, since you were willing to give me 20 million yesterday to be your canary, it's not bad to take some money for helping you. Compared to 20 million, 10 thousand is a small thing," I said with a smile, counting the contents of the wallet. I put the rest back in the wallet and took 10 thousand.

I turned and saw him still asleep. I placed the wallet on the seat and got out of the car. I closed the door and left.

I walked out of the parking lot and ran across the street.

I'm sure Ruoxie is worried about me. The club is only a few blocks from the playground, so I walked there and arrived at the old playground.

I stopped when I didn't see Ruoxie under the slide.

"Ruoxie?" I called out. I dropped the plastic bag containing Ruoxie's favorite noodles and the blanket. I shuddered when I saw many footprints there.

"Ruoxie!" I shouted, running around the playground. I also asked the people living near the playground.

I returned to the slide, trembling, picking up the plastic bag containing the blanket and the noodles that were supposed to be our breakfast.

"Ruoxie," I said, tears welling up in my eyes. What am I going to do? What if Auntie's men came and took Ruoxie?

It's possible that Mom wouldn't kill Ruoxie, but it's not impossible for them to hurt her.

'We won't be separated, okay? I'll come with you wherever you go.'

No, I can't leave Ruoxie. I quickly walked towards the exit of the playground to find Ruoxie. If I don't find her in this area, I'll go back to the Yeraz mansion to check on Ruoxie's situation.

Before I could get out of the gate, three cars stopped in front of the gate. I immediately became alarmed when I saw people who looked like bodyguards getting out. The first thing that came to mind was Ruoxie's mom.

How did they find our location, and Ruoxie was hiding? I backed away, staring at the bodyguards.

The door of the backseat of the second car opened. I braced myself for an attack, but then Ruoxie suddenly jumped out and tackled me.

I accidentally dropped the blanket when she jumped on me.

"Leticia!" Ruoxie shouted, hugging me, tears streaming down her face.

"Where did you go! You didn't come home, I was scared, so I went looking for you!"
