I made my way over to the Omegas accommodation. I was going to get Heidi’s belongings for her. I was glad that she was going to be living under the same roof as me. Heidi was my best friend. And now, she was going to be my stepmother. As far as I was concerned, I couldn’t have asked for a better stepmother than Heidi.
I was glad she had decided to give my father a chance as her mate. He would need to toe the line if he wanted to stay on her good side. Heidi was not the type of person who would put up with crap. I just hoped my father changed his ways. He never used to be so… bloodthirsty. When my mother had been alive, my father had been a good, kind, loving man. Her death brought out this darkness that I never would have believed was inside of him.
