Chapter 3: Killer smile

Freya’s pov I looked at him, waiting for an answer. But instead, he just got up and left without saying a word. No manners, I see, it is just as my father guessed. He can’t even sit at the same table and eat with humans. This is the one thing I can say that I agree with him on. I am sitting and eating at a table with someone who might be my mother’s killer. “Thank you so much, dinner was great.” My dad said as we were getting ready to leave. “Freya, I will see you at school tomorrow.” Niall said, and I nodded at this. “I am a little nervous,” I said honestly, and he just smiled reassuringly. “You will do just fine, you seem like a nice girl. Everyone will love you.” He said, and I nodded. “Well, I hope you are right.” I retorted, and we got ready to leave. As we walked out, I felt someone’s gaze on me. It was burning through my back and sent a cold shiver down my spine. I looked around to see who it could be, and standing on a balcony of the second floor was the Alpha Prince. It was dark, so I couldn’t tell what he was thinking, but I didn’t like it one bit. We got into the car and drove off. “Well, I guess we really have nothing to worry about.” Dad said, and I looked at him, confused. “The Alpha Prince, he looked like he couldn’t care less about being there.” That is right, the whole time he seemed so bored by everything and everyone. But I still don’t like the way he was looking at me. As if he was trying to rip off the mask that I was wearing. All night, he was looking at me, and no one seemed to notice. But why? Why was all his attention focused on me? I don’t like it one bit. I didn’t tell my father because I don’t want him to worry about me. Maybe it’s all in my head, because why would he only focus his attention on me? We got home, and I got ready for the night. As I was sitting on the balcony, I could hear the many howls from the werewolves around here. That night was just like this. Howls could be heard in all directions. I went back inside and went to sleep. Tomorrow is school, and the one thing I can’t stand is teenagers. They have a way of bringing out the nasty side of me. ***** I looked at myself in the mirror and took a deep breath. I like that they wear school uniforms because they help everyone blend in. I went downstairs and found that breakfast was all ready. “You need to befriend the daughters of the Gamma and Delta. You need to infiltrate their inner circle.” Dad pointed out, and I nodded. I have to make sure that I befriend them to the point that they would even see me as a dear friend of theirs. Once I am in their inner circle, it will be easier to find out the truth. I might be able to even meet their parents, so I can get to know them better. A person in the Alpha’s inner circle did all of this. I had breakfast and went straight to school after that. The school was big considering that it is the only high school in this town. I parked my car, and the moment I got out, I found Niall waiting for me. “I thought I would show you around.” He said with a gentle smile. “I would like that,” I said, and we walked in together talking. He was telling me all I needed to know about the school. We got my schedule, and he looked at it and then smiled. “We have the same classes. This means that I can be your guide all day.” He said. We went to the first class, and the moment we walked in, all eyes turned to us. His presence as the son of an Alpha seems to affect everyone in class. Even humans might know what it is, but I guess they sense the aura too. “And who are you?” a girl asked me, and I looked at her. She had a frown on her face as if she didn’t like me already. “Hi, my name is Freya,” I said, holding out my hand. What I really wanted to say was that she should introduce herself first, but I held it in. “My name is Mary Benjamin,” she said, looking at my hand. She didn’t shake, but I just smiled as I looked at her. “I know who you are, you are the head cheerleader, right?” I asked her, almost jumping with joy. The moment I said this, I watched how she smiled a bit at this. “Yes, that’s me,” she said with a smug smile, and I put on my awe-struck face. “I am a huge fan, I can’t tell you how many times I have watched all your competition cheeroffs.” I said. Well, it isn’t a lie, I watched all the competitions she has been in, so I can use it to win her over. “I was so happy when Dad said we were coming here.” I said, and watched how she let her guard down. She obviously is the kind that wants to be the center and usually is. I mean, how wouldn’t she? She is beautiful and almost flawless if she didn’t have a terrible personality. Long red hair, freckles, and beautiful green eyes that shone in the sun. “So, you are thinking of joining the cheer squad?” She asked me, and I nodded with a smile. “I don’t think I will be half as good as you guys, but I will give it my best.” I said. Another girl came and stood closer to her, looking at me suspiciously. “Ashley Scott!” I said in the typical fan girl high tone. “Well, I didn’t know you were such a fan of these two. I am almost disappointed.” Niall said. “Shut up, is it because she is not gushing over you?” She asked Niall, who nodded. Mary is the daughter of a gamma, and Ashley is the daughter of a delta. “You seem cool for a human. Come and sit next to us.” Mary said, and I nodded. “By the way, both of you look even more beautiful in person. How do you have such flawless skin?” I asked them. “Genetics,” they answered at the same time, and I just nodded. The teacher came to the class, and he was about to say something when the door opened. Mr Exiled walked in like he owned the place and completely ignored the teacher and went to sit down. “Okay, class, we have two new students. Can you please stand up and introduce yourself?” He said. I got up and looked in the direction of the jerk ass who wasn’t even bothered to stand. The teacher looked at me and nodded. “Hello, my name is Freya Jones, and I am 18 years old. I love dancing and music, I hope we all get along.” I said with my best smile. I sat back down, and the teacher couldn’t even look at Andrew, so he just continued teaching in class. I noticed something about the girls in my class. They were practically drooling while looking at him, which made me want to roll my eyes. Ashley and Mary as well, I think his charm worked too well on the she-wolves. The lazy hairdo, the way he casually moves his hand in his hair. His hair, how is it so thick and so brown? His eyes landed on me, and I realized that I was also staring at him. I focused on the teacher instead of the boy, who is basically a magnet. It turns out that I have most of my classes with Niall and the others. But I have all of my classes with Andrew, and I mean all of them. And every single class, he has his entire focus on me. This is getting on my nerves. What did I do to deserve this? Why is he only looking at me and no one else? I mean, it’s one thing to stare at me once in a while. But this guy will just sit there and not even try to hide his gaze. After class, I was packing up my things when he suddenly came and stood next to me. “We need to talk,” he said simply, and I nodded. I looked around the class, and everyone was pouring out of the class until only the two of us were left. “Why do you keep staring at me? I know I am beautiful, but your staring makes me uncomfortable.” I said, and he scoffed at this. “You think you are beautiful?” He asked with a frown. “Yes, I have long, beautiful black hair, beautiful brown eyes, and a killer smile.” I said as I flashed him my killer smile. I absolutely love my smile, plus the dimples are just an extra highlight to my beauty. I watched how he rolled his eyes at this. “I, Alpha Prince Andrew Graham of the Crimson Moon Pack, reject you, Freya Jones, as my mate!” He suddenly blurted, and I froze on the spot. Wait a second, did he just say mate?
