"Don't make a sound," I whispered urgently, pressing one hand against Jasper's head while answering the phone with the other.
"Sera, what's wrong?" My voice came out breathless.
On the other end, Seraphina's concerned voice reached me. "Tali, I just wanted to check on you after you left so suddenly tonight."
My voice suddenly hitched as I stared at the man before me in complete disbelief. One of Jasper Kane's large hands had slipped under my clothes, his fingers deftly reaching around to my back.
