After parting ways with Talia at the galleria entrance, I drove towards home. The night air was crisp with autumn's bite.
It was already past ten when I arrived at Moonwood Glade. The pack territory was quiet, with only the enchanted moon-globes silently illuminating the roads on both sides.
Just then, a somewhat desolate black figure suddenly appeared in my field of vision. He stood at the main gate of the Silverwood Alpha House, as if waiting for me.
The moment I saw the person's face, I unconsciously frowned and honked the horn. The harsh sound pierced the night, but the person remained completely unmoved, still blocking the gate.
I suppressed the urge to drive straight into him. Opening the door, I got out of my armored vehicle.
